Hocking Hills: Hiltop Haven: The Top Deck

Once in a lifetime opportunity to stay in a modern farmhouse shipping container on over 14 acres in Hocking Hills, Ohio. This peaceful, secluded, and serene property is stocked with everything you need and more to make priceless memories. Sharing space with only one other rental, this is a great place to relax, connect with nature, and just enjoy peace and quiet. Beautiful views and experiences await.

We are located in the Hocking Hills area.
Distance to:
Clear Creek metro park: 17 minutes
Hocking Hills State Park: 27 minutes
NevilleBillie Adventure Park: 17 minutes
Old man’s cave: 28 minutes
Cedar falls: 30 minutes
Lake Logan: 16 minutes
Rock Stall Waterfall: 5 minutes

4WD/AWD is needed, especially in in climate weather as the property is on a large hill.

As with most of hocking hills, our properties are on well water. While we do have a filtration system, it is not the same as city water.

Rural, 14 acres

Firewood can be purchased for $5 a bundle and paid for via the app. Firewood is kept near garbage shed.

Late check out (12:30pm) available upon request for $45.

Early check in (2pm) Available upon request for $45.

Pets come with a $65 cleaning fee.


Home has exterior Camera at parking area for security.
Pets are allowed with a corresponding fee.

Perfect little home for a couple on vacation. My husband and I stayed with our two dogs which can be a little tight(we have big dogs) but there enough space for us. Tucked away enough to be away from the noise and enjoy the beauty of the woods but just a short drive to Logan and another 10 minutes will get you to Lancaster. Great location if you are looking to spend time in Hocking hills plus other nature preserves close by. There is also a winery about 5 mins up the road.Host was great with communication and check in process was smooth. We spent most of our mornings relaxing in the hot tub and looking at the stars(we are very early birds). The skies were clear most of the time we were there and you have a great view of the stars, especially from the top deck.

We stayed here for our anniversary. We had a good time and I am very grateful that this place was pet friendly as we brought our dog along, so that was a plus! I will say there were a couple things that lowered the star review. The front door doesn’t latch very well so we had to keep double checking the door to make sure it was shut, only 1 burner on the propane grill worked so we couldn’t really use it (thankfully we could use the charcoal grill), there was metal in the drive way and we ended up getting a flat tire, the jets in the hot tub barely work & the first night our neighbors were loud (risk you take). I truly try not to complain too much about things like this, but considering how much you pay for places like these, you kinda expect close to perfection. Otherwise, the rest was great and the place was very clean. We appreciate the stay!

Perfect Couples Getaway

The properties are somewhat close to each other but you still have your privacy.very remote, fire pit and hot tube are perfect. Bery minimalist living which we loved. We will definitely be back with fiends to rent all the units!

Hocking hills weekend

The Hocking Hills hill top haven Top deck was absolutely amazing. The property is beautiful. It is peaceful and quiet. It was very clean and well kept. The hot tub was hot and clean. The drive into Logan was scenic and fun as well as the drive to Hocking Hills. Great place. Loved every second.

Enjoyable isolation!

We chose this spot for our dog to get a break from the city. He (and we) loved the quiet isolation, country lane, and woods to explore. It was cool to stay in a shipping container, which was tricked out and comfortable. We made good use of the fire pit, hot tub, and two decks. Very relaxing couple of days!

Clean and Cozy

Very clean and peaceful. It was a wonderful relaxing stay. Hot tub was wonderful and bed was comfortable. Pillows were kinda hard but that’s my only complaint everything else was absolutely wonderful. The host communicated very clearly.

Hiking trip

It was a good time there were a few things that could use a little attention. Could use trimming on some of the over growth in the landscape, a big pot and colander for making pasta or other things everything else kitchen wise was great. A couple headrest on the hot tub need some attention. All and all though we loved it and would stay here again it was perfect for us
