Had trouble getting in touch with the host and ended up spending the first hour of our weekend stay on the phone with customer service trying to get in touch. Host texted directly about 6 hours later. I was very disappointed with the towel situation. There were two towels, one per person, that smelled like mildew available for us to use for the shower, jacuzzi, and sauna to sweat on. I put the towels on the bed before I realized they smelled of mildew, and so the scent lingered on the bed. Each time I touched the towel my hands smelled of it too. When I asked the host of four more towels, we received two brand new towels with the tags still on. I guess I’ll take 2/4 requested towels unwashed over the mildew ones, I thought. The floor towels for the entryways were also gross, and there was no towel for the shower area. The fitted sheet was so old and pilled, I could read the words on the bare mattress through them. Disgusting. Shower tile/grout needs a scrub. Shower head sprayed in all directions probably from calcium buildup, so there was no way to keep your hair dry. Cabin was dusty, it needs a deep good clean. Lastly, the jacuzzi has lots of instructions on how to keep the water oil-free (showering before and proper attire) but no actual directions on how to operate the machine. There was a note about turning down the jacuzzi when not in use, but no mention on how long it takes to turn it back up…so we didn’t even get to use it on our last night.
