This Cozy 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin sleeps 6 with futon in livingroom, full kitchen, gas fireplace, big screen tv/for dvd, bbq and big deck, cozy and comfortable. Close to Dodge Ridge, Pinecrest Lake. It's perfect for a getaway to the mountains. Plenty of outdoor sports and activities. fishing, gambling casino, biking, wine tasting, shopping, water sports, hiking, biking, antiques, historic state parks. Elevation 5,600ft.

CLEANING:
We have always and will continue to use clorox, lysol cleaners, sprays, and laundry sanitizer, vinegar, bleach as appropriate for each surface type. Our crews wear protective masks and gloves! We have always taken great care to protect our guests! You should leave it tidy, rinsed dishes go into dishwasher so there's no ants etc. Cabins blankets and towels stay at the cabin. The crew does the rest.

Beautifully appointed. Located in Cold Springs 5-10 minutes from Dodge Ridge, Pinecrest Lake, Leland Snow Play, Black Oak Casino, Columbia State Park. 10 minutes from Lyons reservoir. 90 minutes from Yosemite National Park.
We have smoke detectors, CO detectors, fire extinguishers.

Darlene and her team are world-class hosts! After some heavy winter weather impacted our first trip, the crew not only spent hours helping us get our car out of the snow, Darlene was incredibly flexible with rescheduling. It was the perfect home base for our ski trip to Dodge Lodge.The cabin itself quiet, serene and cozy. We especially loved warming up by the fireplace after a long day on the slopes. We will definitely be back!"

The cabin appeared clean and cozy at first when we arrived for the first night, and the kitchen tools, pans and dishes looked fine. The bedrooms were less than expected. The sheets didn't fit and there was no real closet in one bedroom. The sheets on both beds came off the corners and one bed pillow was literally 1 inch thick. Another curtain panel is needed on each bedroom window, as they do not cover the windows. The bath towels were quite small but clean. The socks we wore on the bare floor in the morning quickly turned black. The futon couch in the living room had just a mattress pad and no other cover for sitting. The sheets provided for it were fine, but it needs a cover for sitting before bedtime. We decided to go home a day early rather than spend a second night there. Parking allowed one larger car or 2 very small cars in the driveway.

Overall, we had a blast and loved the snow on Christmas Day. Nitpicking, I will say the wifi was spotty so karaoke was limited. Warm but fireplace hard to use because the dial was not precise. Oven smaller than standard so pan to bake gingerbread house didn’t fit. Listing mentions bringing laundry detergent but there isn’t a washing machine so that was confusing.

Beautiful location minutes from Pinecrest Lake which made it convenient to grab a spot at the lake in the early morning and make a couple of trips to load/unload our belongings/people without having to pack the car up to the brim in one trip. Cabin was clean and had all supplies/amenities listed.My only complaint is that there were no window coverings except for the bedrooms and the drapes hardly covered the entire window. I understand mountain life and appreciating the private neighborhood & views, but this made it a bit uncomfortable for those who slept in the living room and had no privacy at all...plus the neighbor’s flood lights across the street lit up the living room at night. Other than that, it was exactly what we needed for a great family weekend trip to the lake!

Lovely Cabin In A Good Location

We stayed for a long weekend at this cabin and it more than met our expectations. The location, near Long Barn, was very useful for access to local skiing, and it wasn't difficult to get in or out of (just be aware that the driveway is steep and relatively short in case you have more than one vehicle). It's also close to Mia's, our favorite restaurant in the area.The interior of the cabin is well-furnished and very comfortable. We were actually surprised at how warm it stayed in winter, and there were plenty of conveniences, like the fireplace, up-to-date appliances, and great living room seating. There was more than enough space for us with two children. One small note is that there is no mudroom or entryway, so you'll want to bring a small mat to lay out wet items like ski gear if they can't remain outside.Thanks for a great stay! We'll hopefully be back soon.

Great snowy weekend

Amazing Cabin!!!

The cabin was just as advertised. It was clean and very cozy, packed with lots of DVDs which we watched all day when we got snowed in 😊. A splendid location - short drive to Leland Snow Play and Dodge Ridge Ski Resort.

Winter stay

We had a good time at the cabin in Cold Springs. It was cozy and warm. Enjoyed the board games and some movies on DVD. Wi-Fi was solid and cell service for Verizon was pretty spotty. We came here to ski at Dodge Ridge and loved the close proximity. The roads were clear and there was no major snow before we arrived or during our stay so cannot really comment on snowy winter conditions at the cabin.

Great cabin the woods

If you are looking for a well maintained cabin in the woods this place is for you. We had great communication with our host Darlene who let us know when the cabin was open. We arrived to a plowed driveway(it had snowed during the day) and when we opened the cabin it was toasty warm to our liking. We thought we needed to bring all toiletries but it was a nice surprise to find toilet paper and paper towels there. The internet is not great and our Verizon phone signal was spotty at best-but we were there to disconnect so that was fine with us. We loved our visit!

Great spot if you are going to spend time at Pinecrest Lake!

We stayed here over Labor Day Weekend with 5 adults and 1 baby. The size was perfect and the home had everything we needed to cook meals. It was easy to find and a short drive to the lake. Would absolutely stay here again!

A Mixed Review

The cabin was the right size for our party and was generally in good shape when we stepped in, but it could have been cleaner upon our arrival. Dust and webs were seen around light fixtures and along base boards and window sills. And a spider appeared on the mattress as we put clean sheets on one of the beds. Also, the room fans didn't move very much air so as to cool the place. Different, more efficient ones would definitely help in weather as hot as what we experienced (over 90 degrees). That said, I'd say that Darlene was very helpful and patient with us as we first arrived and needed assistance with entering the cabin. Hope this helps.

Nice property but difficult to stay in when it’s hot

The property is fine. It’s an old but moderately updated property. Biggest challenge for us was staying in the heat. The property doesn’t have enough blinds or fans to keep air circulating and keep the heat out. Nights were difficult sleeping with the temps at 80+.

Property was great, location was perfect. The home was an excellent size for our party of 4 and had a nice deck to sit on. Neighbors are quiet. It’s very basic in terms of what they provide and you have to put the sheets on yourself. These things are included in the description. Just read everything In the terms and make sure it’s a good fit for you.
