“Breakfast was extortionate and dire. Not worth the money. It is outsourced and nothing to do with the hotel. The rooms are not cleaned everyday nor are the towels changed. Nobody comes to check for housekeeping. The room was like a sauna. Extremely hot rooms, creaky floors, dirty carpet and windows. Windows don't open. Bathroom water pressure is just awful. There is no fridge or airconditioning in the room. I didn't use the leisure facilities. Aircon is only around the reception area. The hotel...

Unfortunately room condition was disappointing: one of the two matresses and the bath were broken, decoration dated and level of cleaning below average. “The best thing about this hotel is the location which is fantastic, and the staff were very nice. We stayed in the Oak Suite which is apparently the best room; it benefits from a private terrace with a pair of easy chairs to watch the river and it's occupancy go by, which is lovely. For me it definitely wasn't a four star, but a fair three star hotel. There was a temporary kitchen which also hampered them as well as the view. The room was clean and airy with a (strangely grubby!)Juliet balcony...
