The Space
Living Area
Unwind in the comfy seating area featuring a sofa bed and TV — perfect for movie nights after a day of exploring.
Kitchen
Whip up your favorite meals in the fully equipped kitchen with oven, three burner gas stove, microwave, and refrigerator.
Dining Area
Enjoy your meals at the spacious booth-style dining table for four, complete with overhead storage for all your snacks and essentials. Here you will find the second bed located in the booth. The table top is brought down, and the cushions are rearranged to form the bed. It’s spacious enough for two but not as long as a normal size bed.
Bathroom
Freshen up in the roomy full bathroom with a large shower that comfortably accommodates guests over 6 feet tall. Ample storage space keeps your essentials organized.
Bedroom
Rest easy in the cozy queen-sized bed with built-in storage compartments for your gear and luggage. This main bed is a Murphy bed that when up has a couch under it. When the bed is folded down, it’s a queen bed with a heated mattress and a memory foam top for extra comfort.
Outdoor Space
Fire up the grill and gather in the large yard for al fresco dining, games, or just soaking in the peaceful surroundings. There are also two folding chairs provided, so you can sit back and relax!
NOTE: There is ample storage inside and outside of the camper as well as two “closets” with hangers.

~ Bushy Branch Christmas Tree Farm & Pumpkin Picking – Located just a short drive from the camper, this delightful spot offers pumpkin picking, a hay maze, bounce house, petting stations, train rides, and even a Santa mailbox during the holidays. A hit with families all year long.
~ Berry Hill Farm & Old Farmers Day – A nearby farm where you can enjoy local produce, visit during their Horse and Mule Pulling Contest, and soak in community agricultural traditions.
Nature & Outdoor Escapes
~ Joyce Wildlife Management Area – About 10 miles south of Hammond, this expansive protected swamp area features a boardwalk—ideal for a scenic swamp walk, birdwatching, photography, and spotting wildlife like bald eagles and alligators.
~ Tangipahoa African American Heritage Museum – Located in nearby Hammond, this museum shares rich stories of African American heritage and military history in a welcoming, educational setting.

Your Hosts at Bonnabel Haus Properties
We’re a boutique, woman-owned company that manages a carefully curated selection of homes across Louisiana and Idaho. At Bonnabel Haus Properties, we believe in creating welcoming spaces where guests can truly relax and feel cared for. We’re local, available, and always happy to share tips to help you make the most of your stay.
Important to note:
- Check-in: 5 PM | Check-out: 10 AM
- No pets. Unauthorized pets will result in a fee of $250.
- No Smoking or Vaping: This is strictly a smoke-free property. A $1,000 cleaning fee will be charged for any violations.
- Noise Policy: This home is in a peaceful, scenic area. Please respect quiet hours from 10 PM - 8 AM, and be considerate of the surrounding neighborhood.
- There is another rental on the property, while your spaces will be completely separate from one another, you will have to utilize the same driveway to reach the camper.
- Please be respectful of other guests nearby as we ask them to do the same for you.
- Note that this is a camper with propane that needs to be turned on to use the stove and oven.
- There are also grey and black water tanks that will be empty upon arrival but if you fill them during your stay, you will be responsible for emptying them so be conscious of water usage if you'd like to not do this yourself.
Guest Access:
Guests will have sole access to the camper and the area immediately outside of the camper.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not use the porches on the neighboring house or their fire pit, parking, etc.
Access is via a secure lockbox or smart lock system — arrival details will be sent once the rental agreement, ID verification, and security deposit or damage waiver are completed.
While the home offers complete privacy, your hosts are just a message away should you need anything before or during your stay.
Weather Notice:
Louisiana weather can be unpredictable, and while we do our best to prepare for anything, we cannot be held responsible for delays, power outages, storms, or other unforeseen events outside our control. Refunds will not be issued for weather-related events, utility interruptions, or other circumstances beyond our influence. We recommend purchasing travel insurance for added peace of mind.
Guest Rental Agreement, Security Deposit, & ID Verification Required:
All guests must complete a Guest Rental Agreement, ID verification, and Security Deposit before receiving Arrival Instructions.
Security Deposit Options:
- Non-refundable insurance waiver
- Option for a refundable security deposit instead—please inquire for details.
This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction).
We understand that security deposits can feel like an added hassle, so we offer the smaller non-refundable insurance waiver as an alternative for shorter stays. This option provides peace of mind for both you and us, covering common accidental damages—such as a spilled drink or a broken dish—without requiring a large upfront payment. Our goal is to ensure a smooth, stress-free experience for all guests while maintaining the beauty and comfort of our home. As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $50 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $3 per day for stays longer than 10 nights.
To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.
