Kobe Vacation House A Dream

The whole experience was amazing. We were able to find the location easily, check-in without issue, and get situated quickly. The kids loved the layout, the hot-tub, and the arcade style NBA jam. We also loved the hot tub, the safety of the neighborhood, and the overall appearance of the location. The owner was easy to communicate with and provided a very comfortable place. They even had an on-site pack-n-play! They also had a bookshelf with a great selection of literature. The next time we have to go to the Spanish Consulate for visa issues, we will definitely try to stay here. Highly recommended!

Awful

Much like the previous reviews, this place is awful and the hosts do not respond. We booked for three nights and didn't stay after the first night because it was so bad. The vents have black residue on them, which is very concerning with regards to air quality. The fridge is leaking water and the floor is deteriorating. There are cobwebs (with bugs in them) in the bedrooms. The patio door for the first for bedroom would not lock. The only good thing was the arcade 1up NBA jam game. Just don't stay here. It's not worth risking your health and safety. We requested a refund and the host never responded. VRBO can't get a hold of them either.

Frat House Central

This is the worst experience I've had with any kind of short term rental before. These photos must be the original when they first opened, since it does NOT look like that any longer. We were immediately hit with the smell of marijuana and smoke (we opened the windows to air it out for three nights and it still smelt). There were smoke detectors missing in the bedrooms. The floors were peeling up and sticky. The bathroom had mold in it. The list goes on and on. At one point, we came home to an open gate and open patio door and the host didn't respond to us then either. I'm most disappointed by the customer service from VRBO and the host. Neither were helpful. They both would pass us along stating that they had to talk to a the host or had to contact the owner (apparently David doesn't own the house and VRBO didn't seem to care about this). The host was unconcerned. After some research on the host, many of his properties have VERY poor reviews. And he owns a lot of them in the area. The redeeming quality was that the hot tub was cleaned, but the shower was disgusting, so you had to mentally prepare for that after the hot tub. Just don't do it. If you can afford a different place - skip this entirely.

House was not properly cleaned, and the kids from the front house do not respect privacy at all!
