Great location

We stayed over the weekend to hit up the Bourbon Trail. The house is located in a perfect spot. There was plenty of room for all 10 of us.

Needs some love

Overall the house was very nice. A few areas need some work. The railing heading upstairs is not secured to the wall and needs to be repaired and all the bathrooms with showers and a tub need some serious updates and cleaning. Overall the convenience and price of this houses location was worth the few inconveniences we noticed.

Family frendly stay

The house was amazingly spacious for our crowd of 10 people. Everything was clean and orderly. The instructions listed all the details of the house well. We had no problems. We had easy acess to stores and attractions, and while staying we were able to see deer, possums, and racoons in the yard. A real treat for our family. If we come this way again we would definitely book this house again.

Caution!

I cannot say this strongly enough: Our experience here was COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTING. The yard was not cared for: overgrown, leaves from last fall not collected, broken items on the lawn, etc. The doors and walls were dirty and banged up; the carpet had multiple stains; the stair railing was broken off from the wall and gave way when grabbed. On the deck: broken, old, moldy furniture and rugs. The French doors are nice, but haven't been cleaned ... ever? The towels were thin, small ... borrowed from Motel 6? I could go on. I have pictures. The only positive was that the bedding appeared new and was comfortable. I say "caution" because, if you book this rental, you need to screen shot the reservation page and then check it against confirmation emails. Evolve attached "host fees" to my booking that were only itemized in my receipt from VRBO. I will NOT rent from VRBO again, and certainly NEVER a property handled by a management company. Neither Evolve nor the local host returned my calls prior to our stay. When I tried again, after returning home, Tracey (with the Trust and Security Team at Evolve) provided a solution to one of my concerns in a timely and professional manner.

We have mixed reviews. The location and accommodations were great. Other than that, things were not exactly as they said they were. The photos did not look like what was shown on the listing. The bushes were overgrown and our first impression was not great. The patio was covered in leaves and tree limbs, and the upstairs banister was broken, but I contacted the host and they sent a team out within an hour to get it cleaned up and fixed. They did not do a very nice job fixing the banister. The interior paint was peeling off around the trim and the roof gutters were full of leaves and debris. The outside paint was peeling off as well. The grill was unusable because it was so filthy, you could not cook anything on it. The overall cleanliness of the property was very poor. The towels were cheap, they were ants in the kitchen, the water pressure in the entire upstairs was weak to say the least. The handle for the kitchen faucet kept falling off, and some of the lightbulbs were not working. We made the best of it and enjoyed our family vacation. If I was asked whether or not we would stay here again, I would say no. The owner has a lot of work to do to this property to make better for renting on VRBO.
