“My wife and I stayed at San Felipe for 8 nights in June 2025. We had a wonderful time there and enjoyed every minute. This is a place devoted to birds and birders, with an excellent bird guide on staff. The cabins are spacious and comfortable. The food was delicious and freshly cooked each day. The owners of the property live on site and are very friendly and helpful (and speak English).”

“If you are looking for an amazing hotel out in the country, then this is it!! This has been a bucket list vacation for my wife for years and we were not disappointed! The view from the hotel is AWESOME! The photos do not do it justice. It is better in person! The room was excellent, we always had hot water for the shower. The pool and jacuzzi were clean. The food was excellent as we ate breakfast there as well as some of our evening meals. The Staff was amazing; very friendly and cordial...

“Man lebt praktisch mit der Familie zusammen, mitten in einem kleinen Paradies! Es ist wunderschön gelegen und man kann sich sehr sicher und frei auf dem ganzen großen Gelände bewegen. Man kann unten am Fluss sitzen. Man kann Massagen buchen man kann Spaziergänge machen. Die Familie ist unwahrscheinlich nett.”

“Playa de oro is a very relaxing place, it allow you to recconect with the Nature. The room is very simple but clean, no air conditioning, no Wi-fi, no hot shower....but you don’t need this extra! The hotel is on the beach, sourrondend by an amazing forest. there is no too much to do here: just enjoy the wild life and the lack of humanity. I suggest this hotel only if you like chilling out for real. Don’t come here if you are addicted to techonoly of social life!”

“All I can say is wow! The casita is very private and located on a farm in a rural area around 10 minutes to the nearest town. It is an excellent option for a romantic getaway. There is someone close by who is available if you need anything, but you really feel like you’re on your own. It is a very modern dwelling in a magical setting with a stunning view. I was extremely impressed and will return.”
