This ground-floor apartment is located in a traditional Tuscan farmhouse featuring exposed stone walls.
Surrounded by olive groves, it sits on a picturesque site at the edge of a hillside forest, providing a beautiful view of Lucca. The property is just 8.5 km from the city walls.
The stone house was fully renovated in 2024, preserving its rustic charm. It is tastefully furnished and equipped with modern comforts, including a Jacuzzi, barbecue, and ping-pong table, ensuring a relaxing stay in close contact with nature.
The location provides privacy and tranquillity, making it an ideal base for day trips. You can easily reach the beaches in Viareggio (20 km), Forte dei Marmi and Versilia (35 km), or Marina di Vecchiano (20 km). For those who enjoy the mountains, Garfagnana is just 40 km away. Additionally, you can explore beautiful cities like Pisa (20 km) and Florence (90 km). After a day spent visiting these stunning locations, it's wonderful to return to the peaceful atmosphere of this place.
The farmhouse features three apartments, one on each floor. Casa Formentale is a 70 sqm apartment located on the ground floor.
Upon entering, you will find an open space that includes a lounge, dining area, and kitchenette. The kitchen is equipped with four burners, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, an espresso machine, a kettle, and a juicer.
To the right of the open space is a large double bedroom (1) with an attached bathroom. To the left, there is a small corridor that leads to another bathroom, a wardrobe, and a second bedroom (2), which can be used as a living room or as an additional bedroom.
A French window opens up to the private garden.
In front of the entrance, there is a spacious patio measuring 3x9 meters.
It features a dining area with a barbecue, as well as a relaxation area with sofas.
The Jacuzzi, located in the olive grove, is shared with my family and is available for guests 24/7 from May to September. Additionally, a table tennis area and a hammock area are also available for your enjoyment.
From Casa Formentale, you can also walk through the woods on hilly paths. At night, one can gaze at the starry sky. In every season, you can enjoy the Tuscan countryside with its variety of scents, sounds, flavours, and colours.
Directions: To reach Casa Formentale, pass the Certosa di Farneta, a large cloistered monastery. Turn left and follow the signs to Formentale, then drive up a small mountain road surrounded by olive groves for about 1 km.
