La Chiesa di San Giovanni è letteralmente attaccata all'appartamento da un lato ed è lì che ogni giorno alle 19 si tengono i concerti di Puccini. Questa è la sede storica dell'unico festival dedicato a Puccini e alla sua musica nella sua città natale. Il festival include concerti e recital con artisti diversi ogni sera. Saranno oltre settanta i cantanti e due pianisti che si alterneranno nelle esibizioni quotidiane: questa è una delle attrazioni principali di Lucca che è diventata la "cosa da vedere" più votata su Tripadvisor.

La Cattedrale di San Martino è proprio sul retro dell'appartamento, negozi e ristoranti sono tutt'intorno, incluso il ristorante Il Giglio, recentemente premiato con una stella Michelin (di fronte all'appartamento, all'angolo della piazza).
