Family Getaway w/ Private Beach, GameRm, & MovieRm

Nestled a very short stroll from the beach, a perfect getaway for families and space for both kids and adults. Memories are made here with greetings of luxury and comfort, a Simply Tidewashed theme, and a one-of-a-kind mural for sharing photos. If you are looking for a relaxing retreat to share with family and friends, you found the right place.

Private Community Beach & Shark Tooth Hunting:

Just a short, easy walk brings your family to our quiet, private community beach on the Chesapeake Bay—perfect for days filled with bay adventures. Enjoy kayaking with our provided kayaks, swimming, bike rides along peaceful roads, and the fun of shark tooth hunting. The community features the historic Cove Point Lighthouse, a sheltered Chesapeake Bay cove, and a long stretch of shoreline with shallow, calm waters. It’s an ideal spot to play, wade, and splash without the strong currents or undertow often found at ocean beaches. Keep an eye out along the shore for fossilized shark teeth from prehistoric sharks that once swam in the Chesapeake Bay.

*Please note that jellyfish are common in the Chesapeake Bay during the summer months—most often in July and August, though they may appear as early as June or linger into early September during especially hot, dry weather. Jellyfish prefer warm, salty water, so their presence can vary with tides, rainfall, and time of day. Some days you may see very few, while other days there may be more. After periods of rain, they’re often pushed back out to sea. We recommend bringing sting-protective sunscreen and wearing long-sleeve rash guards and swim leggings for added comfort.*

Inside, relax in the spacious living and dining areas, perfect for gathering together. The dining table comfortably seats 10, and the fully stocked kitchen lets you cook as much—or as little—as you like, with a dishwasher to handle the cleanup. Start your mornings with our Cuisinart Coffee Center 2-in-1 coffeemaker—just bring your favorite coffee. BYOC

Game Room:

Unwind and have some fun in our game room, where your inner child can shine. Enjoy a pool table, arcade games, and foosball, then kick back and watch your favorite show or game on the 65” wall-mounted TV after a day of outdoor adventures.
Movie/Theater Room & Popcorn Machine:

For movie nights, our cozy movie room awaits, complete with stadium seating and freshly made popcorn from our movie style popcorn machine.

Outdoor Dining, Seating, Fire Pit, Games, Bicycles, Kayaks & Beach Gear:

Enjoy the best of summer with a BBQ in our outdoor dining area, which seats up to 10 and includes a grill—perfect for shared meals and long evenings. After dinner, gather around the firepit for relaxed fireside conversations. Get out on the bay with two complimentary kayaks and life jackets, or spark some friendly competition with outdoor favorites like Giant Jenga, cornhole, volleyball, the kids’ playground, putting green, and more.

Take an easy stroll to the beach using the provided wagon stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys. You can also hop on one of the bicycles and enjoy a scenic ride through the neighborhood to the beach or the lighthouse.

Calvert County and Local Attractions:

Calvert County offers abundant water-based recreation, including sailing, fishing, kayaking, and crabbing. Visitors can explore the area’s rich history at Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum, historic St. Mary’s City and the family-friendly Calvert Marine Museum. While nearby towns like Solomons will charm you with boutique shops, waterfront dining, lively events, and convenient shopping just across the Solomons Bridge. From hiking the scenic trails of Calvert Cliffs State Park to enjoying fresh local seafood, Calvert County delights visitors with its relaxed coastal vibe and welcoming hospitality.

Tidewashed is nothing but a cozy, quiet, and thoroughly enjoyable home away from home. The huge backyard, private theater, fire pit, and mini-golf putting green made it clear that the owner thoughtfully arranged everything to make guests feel truly welcome. Every detail was well considered.We would give 10 stars for cleanliness—everything was spotless and looked fresh and well maintained. When it's cold outside, we love spending time in the game room. The pool table is A for us.Our only regret is not booking a longer stay. We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable getaway.
