Cheerful Creekside Home with Dock

Relax with the whole family or come as one or two couples. Our completely renovated barn-home is situated on a high bank on Hungars Creek which leads to the Chesapeake Bay. A full ground floor master suite includes bedroom, large sitting room, its own screened-in outdoor porch and private master bath with jetted tub. Ther are two more bedrooms and bath. Upstairs is wide open concept living space with dining, full kitchen, living area and another screened in porch with breath-taking views of the water.

Very nice setting and location for a quiet stay.

Place was as described in the listing. Did have a lot of bugs inside, including some wasp. Very nice otherwise and a great secluded spot.

Great remote location. Great porches and dock.

This place was perfect for our stay . The place was in a very remote area, with a beautiful creek. The only issue we had was the listing did not clarify whether linens were provided or not, we tried to reach out prior to coming to the property owner and did not get a timely response, but VRBO‘s help stated linens were not included so we packed towels and sheets for the trip. Upon arrival we found out they had plenty of sheets and towels for everyone so it was unnecessary packing. He even provided beach towels. I would recommend an updating of the listing to state that they are included in that would help others in the future. Other than that minor communication issue the place was awesome. Having the password key versus a true door key was helpful with coming and going. Love this place would definitely consider staying again.

Relaxing stay on the water

We had a fantastic time during our stay. Richard was very easy to work with and friendly. The area is quiet and great for biking and relaxing. We even caught fish out of the little creek which is perfect for kayaking. It is the eastern shore however - so bug repellent is a must.

Nice place.

Except for the grass being 2 to 3 feet tall the entire 2 weeks we were there, it was great. I have to say that the first week was cold and rained the entire week. No chance of grass being cut then. But the second week was in the 80s and dry, so no excuse. The stairs are a little steep and the rail is not very sturdy. My nephew wanted to fix it. Aside from that, the place was great. All the furniture wax so comfortable, especially the beds. They were great for sleeping. The couch upstairs pulled out to make a bed and that was comfortable, also comfortable to sit on. The other couch was comfortable, too. We did go out and buy a spatula, but everything else you needed was in the kitchen. They had a drip coffee maker and a Kurig(I know I spelled it wrong) with a selection of pods. They also had tea bags available. We did enjoy our stay.

Not advised to rent

Upon arrival, the host was unable to be reached. We were unable to get into property. We drove in from Virginia Beach. Customer service couldn't get ahold.of the owner either. 3 hours later, after we have already left the property, we hear a message from the host with a code to the door. Complete disappointment. We took time off from work only to not enjoy what was booked well in advance. No room.for excuses.

Peaceful and Secluded

This place is a great get away with the family and dog. We honestly felt like we were at home with the comfort and peacefulness that surrounded us. We are already talking about planning another trip next year to this house.

Perfect Shore Getaway

What a perfect waterfront place to stay with your family! The host was attentive and easily reached! It is such a cute barn structure that the host has made it very comfortable and quaint! We went over Thanksgiving and loved it so much, I have rented the place for July!I can’t wait to see what he has done and experience the place in the summer to enjoy the waterfront!!
