the room was smelly, the tv didn't work, the pillows and blankets were uncomfortable, the bed was not comfortable, the lady who checked us in was rude.

This place is very convenient for the ferry dock to Mackinac island. Our room was clean but a little small and the bed wasn’t comfortable. We like the water park access to the next door hotel. We didn’t like that it says with breakfast when booking at expedia but there is really no breakfast at this hotel. We were given a coupon for buy one get one breakfast at a nearby restaurant with limited options and overpriced food. We didn’t use the coupon and went somewhere else.

Our room smelled like urine and the carpets were stained. TV didnt work. Got up early for someone to fix it and they never showed. It was unreal all the people switching rooms because of ants or something else. The marque says new spa, it doesnt work. The outdoor pool was so dirty you couldnt see the bottom. It was awful. .shoshowed. We cleaned our roo.

Conveniently located & Kid friendly. We enjoyed included waterpark. Staff is friendly. My only complaint is with the breakfast coupons they give to guests. They got rid of the included breakfast during COVID, and now offer “buy one get one free” coupons to two of the neighboring restaurants. At toast a go go breakfast buffet, children are not included with the promotion. So if you are going with an adult and child, you still pay the full price for both. At the lighthouse restaurant, it is only one coupon per table. So if you have four adults staying in one room, you will end up paying for three adult meals and getting 1 free. Or, if you have multiple people in multiple rooms and wish to be seated at the same table, the same rule will apply. This was not listed on the coupon itself, at the restaurant, or on the menu. I ended up going to the lighthouse restaurant for breakfast and sat separate from my adult friends who were roomed separately and paying separately to avoid this. When the server provided me with the bill, she asked “are you paying with cash or card?”, I paid with card. My friends paid cash and we left, only to then be chased out of the restaurant for “not paying” as this restaurant “does not accept cash” (direct quote from the server). Smells of discrimination. Posting to spread awareness - the hotel itself was great, but I would have much rather dined elsewhere than the 2 restaurants they were promoting.

Didnt like we had to walk to a different motel property for pool & jacuzzi use. Jacuzzi water was cold. Water was green. When we told the front desk she said they have nothing to do with the pool. She said its a seperate property they just let us use it. Sheets on our beds were flat sheets not fitted. They didnt cover the mattress. When I pulled to cover the end of bed then the matress at head of bed was uncovered. When we left to checkout this morning the office area was closed. So we just left. The room itself was not too bad. There were some stray hairs in the shower and sink that didnt belong to us. But that happens. Guess the worse part was the outdoorJacuzzi and pool.

the room was so humid. The bedding, carpet and towels were damp due to the humidity in the room. The mini fridge as well as the carpet in front of it had mold in it. The fan in the bathroom did not work. I would not recommend this place.

Knowing this was a budget hotel we didn’t come in with high hopes but were disappointed with our stay. The staff was very unfriendly. Things were broken in the room that made it feel unsafe. The smoke detector was broken and was sitting on the counter. The safety door lock was loose and missing the screw. The hallways were unclean and smelt musty in areas. The water park was just ok and the pool water was cloudy. Not recommended

It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room did not even have a chair to sit on. The furniture did not fit the room and you could not even open the closet door all the way because a large table was positioned across from it. I was concerned about the safety. The smoke alarm did not even have a cover. I had to beg the housekeeping staff to service our room. We arrived on a Thursday and did not get service until Tuesday. We were told they ran out of towels. They advertised that they had a heated pool and laundry services. The pool was located on a different property and definitely was not heated. The laundry services was also as a separate property. I was told I could go to the Ramada Inn on the 2nd floor to do my laundry. The reception desk was not open 24 hours. They had a sign stating the time the registration desk would open in the morning. The staff never arrived on time. Sometimes as much as 30 minutes late. Every morning the reception desk had a line of people trying to check in or complaining about the hotel. We left 3 days early because the hotel was horrible. The check in process was horrible. It was all done on paper. The desk had papers all over the place. I witnessed people who had reservations not get a room because they lost their reservations. The receptionists were rude and not helpful at all. I would never stay there again.

There was no continental breakfast but coupons offered instead. With the price of rooms you would think this would be included. At check-in the employee used inappropriate langue while talking to another employee that was in the back. At check-out time people were smoking marijuana outside the door smelling up the lobby.

Like the location and dinning options. This hotel is outdated, has a smell, rooms are not clean and staff is not very friendly. I wouldn't come back to this place.

We called the desk and had maintenance up a few times because we didn’t have hot water in the shower. It didn’t get fixed so we had to check out and go about our day with no shower. The desk clerk gave a number for the manager who neither answered my call nor had voicemail.

Property needs a lot of work. Low key maze to the “water park.” Spiders the size of silver dollars. Fire alarm went off from a hot shower. At $350 a night, you’d expect more. Staff was lovely.

air conditioner turned on by itself throughout all hours of the night, even after being manually turned off. extremely loud sounding the same as an aircraft carrier. told the front desk about it the next morning and was told to “just unplug the air conditioner.” it was a wall unit and could not be unplugged. also no shampoo, body wash, or soap of any kind the bathrooms

They didn’t provide really much of anything everything was broken teeny tiny TV no tissues two small rolls of toilet paper with barely anything left on them. The air conditioner is so loud and noisy. Really need some improvement there.

The front desk immediately upon entering seemed annoyed with our very presence, as if us trying to check in was disturbing them. The room had dried vomit on the floor and up the wall next to the garbage, the housekeepers didn’t have proper supplies (towels) to accommodate our two day stay and we were supplied with less than a roll of toilet paper (again no re-supply readily available). The second floor ice machine was leaking through the ceiling dripping on your head as you walked past on the first floor. The whole carpet was soggy and it is likely that in the very near future someone or something will fall through the floor, or you will get electrocuted trying to use the vending machine while standing in a puddle. The game room, three stories high, had a window open without a screen that a toddler or small child could try to climb through (right at ground level). The ac unit in our room also leaked so the carpet was drenched, so gross. The largest amount of money I have wasted on a hotel room. I recommend this hotel look at hiring friendlier staff that actually want to work with customers, and a maintenance person ASAP because they have some large safety concerns on their hands.
