Personale gentile ed affabile. Alla reception personale disponibile per dare informazioni sull'isola. Un piccolo neo negativo è stata la strada che da Funchal all'hotel è stretta, piena di curve, con molte auto in parcheggio ai lati, che la rendeva lenta da percorrere soprattutto con il buio. Per il resto tutto bene, compreso un parco bellissimo.

Perfect!
The hotel is truly first class in every aspect. Super spacious rooms each with a private balcony. The grounds are beautiful and tranquil with an agronomist on site to take you on tour and explain about their green philosophy. The breakfast offered is delicious and abundant. The swimming pool is under cover and so clean. You can choose to lie outside or indoors. The hotel is located about 20 minutes or so from Funchal, so unless you plan to sojourn only on the property, you will need to hire a car. Madeira has so much to offer so hiring a car is actually a wise option. The location means it is truly tranquil. Every member of staff is friendly and professional; it is obvious that they aim to make your stay truly comfortable in every way - and they achieve this goal. I am very fussy and have travelled widely, and can safely say that by far Hotel Quinta da Serra is the best hotel I have ever stayed at.

The most serene and relaxing hotel I’ve visited! The gardens surrounding the hotel are gorgeous and the food at the restaurant it absolutely delicious! Rooms are spacious with a huge tub to relax in and a firm bed. I would come back in an instant!

Wir waren als Paar unterwegs und hatten einen traumhaften Urlaub im Hotel Quinta da Serra. Der Empfang und der Service waren stets freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir waren 2 Wochen dort und haben uns wunderbar entspannt. Wir hatten HP gebucht und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Es gab ein tolles Weihnachtsmenü am 24.12. und ein tolles Silvester-Dinner eine Woche später. Wir können dieses Hotel nur empfehlen. Allerdings ist ein Mietwagen von großem Vorteil. Wir werden sicher wieder in dieses Hotel kommen.

Great location for exploring the valleys around Pico Grande and Encumeada. Stunning gardens and very comfortable rooms. Brilliant views down the valley to the ocean. Would have expected more vegan and vegetarian options from a bio hotel but otherwise a very good stay. Will definitely rent a car next time as taxis are very expensive around there and buses are infrequent.

Endroit magnifique dans les montagnes surplombant Camara de Lobos. Nous avons pu profiter de la piscine, du jardin gigantesque et de l'excellent restaurant. Pour les amateurs, le départ de la rando du Pico Grande est à seulement 15min !

O hotel é bonito, confortável, e com uma excelente área. Boa piscina interior e jacúzi. O pequeno almoço ficou aquém das nossas expectativas, para um hotel de 5 estrelas, não tinha variedade, e os produtos não eram da melhor qualidade que poderia existir. Pessoal do restaurante ao pequeno almoço muito pouco atencioso e prestável, um pouco antipático, ao contrário da colaboradora que nos fez o Check-In e a empregada de limpeza. Com base em outras experiências de hotéis 5 estrelas, classificaria este como um 4 estrelas.

Sehr gepflegte, in ein 10h umfassendes Parkgrundstück eingebettete Hotelanlage. Ruhige Atmosphäre dank überschaubarer Zimmerzahl. Gute Küche bei übersichtlicher Karte. Anfahrt zur Autobahn ca. 20 Min. über kurvige Straßen, etwas lästig aber kein Dealbreaker.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön und sauber. Die Lage des Hotels eignet sich sehr gut zum Wandern. Das Serviceteam an der Rezeption ist sehr freundlich, das im Restaurantbereich etwas langsam. Das Speiseangebot ausgezeichnet teilweise mit Bio-Produkten aus dem eigenen Garten. Die Zimmer (Junior Suite) groß und gut geeignet für Familien. Leider gibt es aber immer wieder Probleme mit der Warmwasseraufbereitung, daher würde ich diese Hotel nur im Hochsommer empfehlen, wenn man ein "Warmduscher" ;-) ist.

Sehr geehrter Gast, vielen Dank für Ihre nette Rückmeldung. Leider hatten wir in dieser Zeit Probleme mit dem heißen Wasser, weil eine defekte Pumpe einige Zeit in Anspruch nahm, um das Problem zu lösen. Da wir uns auf einer Insel befinden, ist es manchmal nicht einfach, die für die Reparatur erforderlichen Teile so schnell wie möglich zu bekommen. In diesem Moment sind die Reparaturen abgeschlossen und alles wieder normal. Wir bedanken uns nochmals für Ihre freundliche Rezension und hoffen, Sie bald begrüßen zu können. Das Hotel liegt ruhig und lanschaftlich schön gelegen. Die erste Anreise ist sicher stets abenteuerlich, aber welche Straßen auf Madeira sind das nicht. Das Essen vor Ort (mit biologischem Ansatz) sehr anspruchsvoll; das Frühstückbuffet stets ein guter Start in den neuen Tag. Und dann noch das Hallenbad, eine willkommene Ergänzung für die Gestaltung eines Urlaubstages.

Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Kein Verkehrslärm oder Abgase, stattdessen inmitten alter Bäume in einem parkähnlichen Garten gelegen. Frühstück sehr gut und reichlich an Auswahl. Abends leider nur eine kleine dafür aber sehr hochwertige Auswahl - bei einer Woche kein Problem. Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Einzig die Lage ist nicht soooo optimal - zumindest wenn man im Norden der Insel wandern will. Eigener Wagen sollte vorhanden sein, da ansonsten Bus oder Taxi nötig sind. Die Zimmer (mit Balkon) sind sauber, modern, sehr geräumig und haben Aussicht in den Garten / Richtung Meer. Im geräumigen Bad auch für große Personen keine Probleme, allerdings ist die Dusche (in Badewanne) seitlich relativ eng. Uns hat es jedenfalls sehr gut gefallen und kommen auch sehr gerne ein drittes mal hier hin.

Hotel quinta da serra
Det var ett mysigt hotell. Kändes inte riktigt som att de förtjänade 5 stycken stjärnor. Vi hade en hel del myror på rummet annars var det rent och fint. Väldigt mysig stor trädgård med härliga växter som tillhörde hotellet. Trevlig personal. Inomhus poolen och bubbelpoolen va lite kall för min smak (inomhuspool ca 22 grader och bubbelpool ca 26).

Super Preis Leistungsverhältnis...
Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis hat auf jeden Fall absolut gepasst. Der Service entspricht meines erachtens aber nicht dem eines 5 Sterne Hotels. Beim Check in wurde uns nicht angeboten die Koffer aufs Zimmer zu bringen. Erst auf unsere Anfrage hin wurde ein Kofferträger gesucht aber nicht gefunden. Die Dame von der Rezeption hatte uns dann die Koffer gebracht. Am ersten Abend konnten wir wegen einer Veranstaltung nicht im Restaurant zu Abend essen. Es wurden Tische im Hallenbad für die Hotelgäste aufgestellt... Für mich war es schon komisch im Hallenbad das Abendessen einzunehmen. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber. Die Anlage mit schönem grossen Garten macht einen sehr gepflegten Eindruck. Das Hallenbad hat ein 25 Meterbecken und es stehen ausreichend Liegen und Handtücher zur Verfügung. Die Zimmer bieten alles was man braucht...mehr aber auch nicht. Da wir jeden Schritt über uns gehört haben gehe ich davon aus dass die Zimmer nicht schallisoliert sind.

Séjour au calme
Nous avons passé un séjour agréable au calme même si les prestations correspondent plus à un 4 étoiles qu'à un 5 (pas de voiturier, pas de service bagages, jacuzzi défectueux et literie trop dure) Néanmoins petit déjeuner parfait et jardin exceptionnel.

Superbe endroit, nourriture profondément décevante
Nous avons séjourné ici pendant cinq nuits en demi-pension, en de septembre 2018. Le lieu lui-même est de grande qualité, situé dans un beau parc dans une vallée pittoresque et dispose d'excellentes installations. L’enregistrement s’est fait rapidement et la chambre était prête. La chambre était spacieuse mais rien d’impressionnant pour faire penser à un 5 étoiles. Il y avait dans la chambre un coffre-fort et un mini frigo qui était vide. Le service aux chambres deux jours n’a pas été fait avant 4 heures PM, même si nous avions quitté la cambre vers 9 heures. Mais la grosse déception a été la nourriture. Le déjeuner était assez bien, mais déjà vu des 4 étoiles avec plus de choix. Grosse déception côté fruits exotiques de Madeira. Nous aurions aimé avoir plus de choix. Chaque matin, il n’y avait qu’un choix de fruit exotique. Le soir, le menu qui nous était offert était simpliste. Un choix de poisson, un choix de viande qui était un gallinacé et un plat végétarien. Nous pouvions changer le plat de viande pour un porc ibérique, que mon épouse a choisi trois fois durant notre séjour faute de meilleur choix. Une journée, j’ai choisi le thon comme plat principal et même si les portions étaient petites, je n’ai pas réussi à tout manger tellement c’était insipide comme saveur. Une soupe aux châtaignes, qui goûtait à l'eau.Un point très positif a été le service du personnel du restaurant, très serviable, souriant et attentif. Réservez avec prudence.

Rustig gelegen met bijzonder goede keuken.
Wij hadden kamer 309 en op sommige momenten de geluiden van de lift. In de minibar was niets voorradig en wat we er zelf in plaatsten koelde niet goed.
