After the Hurricane Lee
When we drove up and saw the house it exceeding our expectations. We felt right at home and everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. After just coming from Hubbard where we home bound because the Hurricane Lee it was so nice to look at the window and the water was calm. The road into the house is rough and many pot holes, but it was worth the trip. Canada is taking recycle to another level, but its great when the house was supplied with garbage bin and label. We had a great time at a great house. Thank you!!

Private and peaceful
This place is a little piece of heaven. Very spacious but cozy all at the same time. The house is equipped with everything you would ever need. The property is in a lush, peaceful and private setting overlooking the ocean. Does it get any better than that? Our family group of 7 ladies had a wonderful time, enjoying the quiet surroundings, beach combing and watching the seals out our front window. Carolyn, the host, was wonderful to deal with. Very welcoming and accommodating. Thank you!

Great Place for family and friends to gather
Our group consisted of 8 women (family and friends)ages 49-90 who love to get together for a few days of good food, great laughs and lots of card playing. We couldn't ask for a better place. We loved watching the seals, deer and raccoon family. Some of us even got to see one of the bears. Carolyn is a fabulous host and there is everything you need to set up and feel at home. Thw kitchen is well stocked with everything from a lobster pot to a cork screw. This is our third time staying here and we plan to come back in the spring. Thank you Carolyn for sharing your beautiful home.

Girls weekend
Amazing view - the beach was rocky but nice just needed water shoes. Loved having two full baths and one half. Lots of items are stocked in the house - everything was easy to find. Loved having a dishwasher. Saw some deer; porcupines and seals. We visited the brewery and the Jost winery. Everyone enjoyed their stay and we would definitely go back again.

Spacious beautiful view
The house and setting was perfect for our family/ friend vacation. Plenty of space for all to sleep. The view of the water from the house windows and deck were amazing! Kitchen was stocked with plenty of utensils and equipment. The pool table was a hit with the kids during the rainy days. The walk to the water front from the house was easy and enjoyable seeing the tidal changes. Carolyn was accommodating, friendly and helpful!

Everything you'll ever need!
Great property, Carolyn was excellent to deal with, there is no shortage of items to use at your disposal. Unit is clean and comfortable, a little challenging for someone with limited mobility but I managed, would be perfect with a walk in shower but both of the full bathrooms had tubs. Our only complaint was the weatherman, he didn't seem to understand our request for Sunny weather

Our entire experience was amazing. Had excellent communication with the owner. Arrived to a very clean, cozy, comfortable home that was ocean front. Absolutely Amazing Stay
First, Carolyn is an amazing host, communication was excellent! I have never stayed in a home that was so well stocked! Some food items, essentials (eg toilet paper) kitchen items (sieves, tons of utensils, cutlery, pots, pans, baking items) I can't think of anything that was missing. Home was spotless! We enjoyed two deer and a bear, lovely sea views and sunsets, all in the backyard. Tatamagouche is a lovely little town with some good restaurants. The Jost Vinyards were great with wine tasting and a cafe. The Blue Sea Beach just a short drive up the road was beautiful and Sandy. Great place for a picnic. Don't hesitate to book here. Great place to get away from it all and relax.

Girls trip
We had a great stay at this property. We were a group of 6 retired ladies and there was plenty of room for all of us . The property is very clean and Carolyn was great to answer any questions we had. Some of us had some walking limitations so we weren’t able to go on the beach. There is a lot of rock. But we had a great time here.

All the comforts of home while country living
This property is everything and more that the vrbo site says. Our stay was more than comfortable and relaxing. The property is very private on multi acres of land, treed and colorful with superb water views. The home contains all that one needs and everything was easy to find. We had some minor trouble with the television and a finicky internet password, but a co-host was available to help troubleshoot and we were all happy campers. The location is lovely with the Jost Winery only 10 minutes away, A spectacular sandy beach (Blue Sea Provincial Park) minutes away. Townships as short and scenic drive away with many amenities. Our host was remarkable! Carolyn could not have been more hospitable and understanding of our needs. Her communication and flexibility made our stay that much more welcoming. This is a must stay property! We will be certain to return and are already talking about booking for a few times and lengthier stays next year. Thank you Carolyn. Thank you Shanda! See you soon!

Very private home
Our family needed a quiet place for a break and found it at this Malagash home. Great rocky beach, lots of trees. Pool table provided hours of entertainment. We did have ongoing internet issues but the host was quick to respond. Home was well stocked. A few odds and sods in drawers and cupboards felt a bit out of place, but appreciated extra towels, dishsoap, and other items available. Thank you Carolyn !

Great weekend getaway
This is our second stay at this lovely house. Seven women got together for a weekend of card-playing, laughter, and of course lots of food. Carolyn was great to respond if we had any questions or concerns. There are lots of cooking utensils there. The back deck is a great place to sit and have morning coffee. The ladies were all asking when we were coming back again. Maybe we will return in the spring. Thanks, Carolyn for providing us with all we needed to have a great weekend.

Fully equipped vacation home
We were 3 senior couples looking for a place to relax together between days golfing. This house was spacious and comfortable. Kitchen very well equipped with dishes and cookware. The property is large with a view of the strait between the trees. The mosquitos were hungry, but hopefully not a regular feature. It was a very good fit for our needs.

Extended Weekend Getaway
This property was a great place for a group of women to get together for an extended weekend getaway. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals in between card games. It was like staying at someone's house for the weekend. On the days that it didn't rain, we got to enjoy the property and the large deck. We even got to see a baby bear gallop across the back lawn when we were having morning coffee.... Carolyn was only an email away to answer any questions we had and was very prompt at responding before our trip and while we were there. We would definitely return for another extended weekend. Thank you Carolyn for providing us with a place to get together.

Cozy and clean!
Home was cozy and exceptionally clean! Carolyn was great to deal with and was extremely prompt in her response to any correspondence. The home is dated so it has a feel of staying at your grandparents house. Most rooms have carpet but it’s kept incredibly clean. The property is lovely and on the beach. The beach is rocky but still fun to look for treasures. Two king beds, a double and two singles made for lots of space and 2.5 baths is amazing. There was a shortage on pillows but many of us brought our own any way. All n’ all a great spot!

Thank you Delta for the great review and happy that you enjoyed your stay. We are slowly updating the house. You should have seen it 3 years ago, you probably would have felt you were at your great grandparents place! LOL. Next big project I want to get to this fall is new flooring at least upstairs and say goodbye to the carpet!! I hope to have the opportunity to host you again. Cheers, Carolyn

August 2020 Malagash stay
We truly enjoyed our stay at your Malagash Vacation Home. There was plenty of room to accommodate the entire family. The property was very well prepared for our arrival and was well-provisioned with respect to kitchenware, linens etc. The grandchildren enjoyed playing at the beach on the property and the provincial park beach.

just what was needed for our fami,y.
The property met our needs well with the size of the property to roam and explore. The size and configuration of the home worked for family to be together but also provided a great layout for little ones to get to sleep. The proximity of the Ocean shore for exploring and finding water creatures and Parks with swimming access was superb. Only one little glitch regarding communication. The website clearly indicates a 11AM checkout . The evening prior to leaving I received an email indicating a 10 am checkout. We were able to accommodate but required a little reorganizing of the staggered leaving times as planned. If this is ongoing I recommend a change in the web site. Also the screen door on the patio door needs repair and was unusable . A nice property. Thank you , Marilyn

Wonderful Family Getaway
We had a spectacular time at the Malagash cottage. It was very clean, comfortable, and our host was so friendly and helpful. The cottage had lots of room for us and our 3 kids, plus my sister, her husband and baby joined for a couple nights. Beach combing was fun and we were at the nearby Provincial Park with sandy beach every day swimming with the kids. Great back deck, very private. We would love to return. The kids are still talking about “going back to the cottage”!

Fantastic Getaway
This property and the property owner were fantastic!! Beautiful view, quiet area with lots of wildlife right outside the doors. We seen a buck, porcupines, deer, and even a seal! Check in and out were extremely simple and Carolyn was more than accommodating! Would DEFINITELY visit this property again in the future.

Beautiful and Private Coastal Home with Great Ocean Views
We were a group of four couples visiting the area for the weekend. We found there was lots of space for the eight of us particularly with the open living room & dining area which was great for socializing. There are also great views from the living room of the large and very private rear garden and ocean, and during our stay we saw a few deer and pheasants on the very private property and some seals just off the shoreline. The accommodations were very clean, the kitchen was well-equipped and the host was very attentive. Great spot... highly recommend!

Best family vacation yet!!
The past week in Malagash has been amazing. Great family time in a beautiful loved home. The house is clean and organized as well as private and in a great location! Carolyn was a fantastic host who was available if we had any questions. I can’t say enough about this house! We were a group of two families, which this house had plenty of room for everyone. We were also traveling with two little babies. They had a playpen and a high chair for use. There are two pocket doors which came in super handy to keep the babies away from the stairs and out of the kitchen. The amazing sunsets and views this home and property had to offer were breathtaking. Early in the morning you could hear the sea lions just off the shoreline - one morning we saw about 20. The beach kept us busy most mornings and night going to look for cool rocks and such. Carolyn gave us some great tips for where to get lobster so we had a big lobster broil on the back deck one night (they also have a burner outside to use!!) the kitchen is well stocked with dishes for everything you could ever need as well as glassware and plates for a large group and more! They had supplied us with the essentials which was handy as we didn’t have to rush out and grab bags, or dish detergent right away. The stores aren’t too far away - About 25 minutes but again the views on the way to town are cool to see. Lots to do in town.. brewery, cute stores, cafes and places to eat. Liquor store and grocery store together (super handy!!) we can’t wait to come back again next year!! Thank you again for sharing your home with us!
