The service staff were very polite.
The food was middle of the road with some exceptions.
The room had excellent layout. Although we chose a bungalow facing the city which received heavy winds for our 3 day stay. So we were unable to enjoy the outdoor patio. That could have been bad luck.
Snorkelling is limited as the resort does not have a house reef.
The most serious issue was the staff practice of texting while driving the carts. In one example, the driver was a texting without her hands on the wheel while another worker was sitting right beside them (we have a photo). In another case, we observed an employee reverse while texting right into the path of another cart. I had to yell to advert a collision.
It appears the inappropriate use of cell phones goes right to the top. When greeted by the manager during an evening event, he repeatedly looked at his phone and sent texts mid-conversation (no exaggeration). It was obvious he was not paying attention to us. The only consolation is that after speaking to us, he walked over to the group next to us, and did the same thing!
This resort has fantastic potential. So this could have been as good as any 5 star experience. Accor needs to send somebody to this property monitor service execution. I could say more about the food, but in all honesty, they are small matters that can be easily fixed. Interestingly, when the manager asked us about the food, we said we had suggestions, but he did not follow up with questions.
