I'll start by saying everything outside of what I will mention here was excellent.
Construction was going on during my stay. I stayed 2 nights. When I woke up the first morning, the carpet was being pulled up from the entire hallway, the room number plates were being removed plus various drilling and hammering. I had to navigate piles of pulled up carpet and other obstacles just to get to the elevator. It was not safe and the odor from whatever solutions were being used or were exposed from this renovation was very prominent. I did ask if they could move me to another room and the front desk staff was very accommodating but why would you schedule a customer to stay on a floor that was going to be entirely renovated in that time? It just seems like very poor decision making and this is the second time I've stayed at a hilton where there was renovation happening and it presents an inconvenience to the customer and should be mentioned when making the reservation. Thank you.
