I had a fully paid reservation, and at check-in I was asked to provide a credit card for the security deposit, which is perfectly understandable.
However, even though I had four different credit cards, from four different networks, none of them worked with the hotel’s POS terminal.
The issue was clearly not with my cards, but with the hotel’s payment system.
It was 7:00 PM, I was traveling with my three-year-old child, and despite the obvious situation, the staff refused to let me check in.
I even offered to leave the deposit in cash, but they declined that as well.
As a result, I was left without accommodation at 7 PM, with a small child and no assistance from the hotel.
The behavior of the staff was unhelpful, inflexible, and completely lacking empathy.
In years of business and leisure travel (over 100 hotels worldwide), I have never experienced anything like this.
During the same two-week trip, I stayed at ten other properties, all of which accepted my cards without any issue.
This was an absolutely negative experience — poor customer service, zero flexibility, and no care for guests’ needs.
I definitely do not recommend this hotel.
