The owner or caretaker that met us, once we figured out how to contact them, was very friendly.
Unfortunately, there aren't any more positive things I can say about this property or the check-in process. We booked this the day of our stay, just before getting on our flight to Manila. Once we arrived in Manila at 8 PM we noticed that we were supposed to have contacted the caretaker before 3 PM if we were going to check in after 8 PM. That led to a lot of confusion with the check-in process.
The "hotel" isn't actually a hotel. It's a condo within a condo complex. So the taxi drive had to rely on the address given in Expedia. That got us to the West entrance of condo building. The lady at the front desk knew nothing about the "hotel" and insisted we were at the wrong place. She was actually not very willing to help out. We were finally informed by the door security guard that we should try the East entrance. The person at the desk there was very friendly and helped us contact the owner. At this point we have been at the "hotel" for close to an hour.
The owner led us to a different building a short walk away, and brought us to our room. It had a fairly strong sewage smell. But, at this point we were extremely tired and hungry so we didn't say anything. Other than that, the room was a little rundown, but at least it was clean, and the beds were very firm but clean.
I would definitely not recommend this place based solely on the smell.
