Welcome to your private retreat on the banks of the Cascade River—just outside North Cascades National Park. This off-grid cabin in the gated Cascade River Park community offers the perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort.

Whether you're planning a weekend of hiking, fishing, or simply disconnecting from the hustle, this cozy hideaway is your basecamp for adventure and relaxation. Inside, you’ll find a well-stocked kitchen, a coffee and wine bar, and a warm wood-burning stove. The cabin runs on propane for heating and cooking, with a dependable generator to charge the battery bank that powers lights and internet.

Unwind on the private deck, listen to the river rush by, grill your dinner, or stargaze from the fire pit. Best of all, soak in the wood-fired hot tub just steps from the river—an experience guests often call unforgettable.

Though fully off-grid, the cabin delivers a comfortable stay surrounded by stunning natural beauty. And when you're ready to explore, you’re only minutes from North Cascades National Park, known for its wild alpine trails, waterfalls, and abundant wildlife.

This was the coziest cabin - the perfect spot for a weekend away to celebrate our anniversary. It had everything we needed. We brought a few groceries and stayed in the whole time - the stainless cooktop was so nice. The wood-fired hot tub was amazing and we went an relaxed in it while watching the snow fall. We didn't want to leave!

The cabin is architecturally unique in a gorgeous location on the river. It is extremely well maintained and equipped. There is nothing better after a day of hiking the North Cascades, than sitting by the river with a fire and a glass of wine. This is our second stay and we will definitely be back.

Cabin is beautiful. Being an off grid cabin was new for us and it was a lot of fun. Sound of the river was so peaceful. They did a beautiful job decorating. Only thing we did did not love was no curtian on windows in bed room. Needs an option to close shade if you wish to. But this was a great experience and would stay again if in the area

This place is top tier. We loved hearing the river from everywhere in the house. The house is well stocked with everything you might need. Nice linens, comfortable bed. The propane fire pit was a great addition due to the burn ban. The generator and battery were easy to operate and instructions were clear. Literally the only thing that might be improved is replacing the tub with a walk in shower. If you have any mobility restrictions it would be challenging to get in the shower. Amazing stay! Thanks!

Highly recommend

I’ve been trying excited about the stay for months and it did not disappoint. Beautiful location. Very close to the cascade pass. Well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen, board games, puzzles etc. Host was very responsive. Perfect for our family with three kids. Kids stayed in the single beds in the loft.

Beautiful off-the-grid experience

This property is comfortable and beautifully situated by the wild Cascade River. It worked well for us as we explored North Cascade National Park. It is an unusual place to stay in that it is really off-the-grid, so you have to do things like turn on the generator (not hard) and rely on battery-operated lights. In many ways the property is a perfect reflection of the wilderness you find yourself in. A great experience!

Mother’s Day Getaway

What a lovely stay in the heart of the Cascades. From the sounds of the rushing Cascade River to the lovely cabin, wood burning hot tub and riverfront fire pit, it was a relaxing getaway. The cabin had everything we needed for a wonderful long weekend — a fun, eclectic collection of decor, a well equipped kitchen and a Japanese soaker tub.We were able to explore many trails and lakes of the North Cascade National Park. Great weekend getaway

This cabin was a perfect place to unwind and escape from everyday life. We stayed in February, and the whole place was covered in snow. We barely saw anyone else our entire time.It's nestled in the woods next to a little river and was a perfect place for my wife and two of our friends to get away. It had plenty of creature comforts (we made ample use of the coffee station) and was very clean.I highly recommend this listing for anyone seeking a rejuvenating escape into nature.

El lugar es genial. Te atrae y te obliga a desconectarte. El grado de detalle impuesto en cada rincón del lugar, es tan atinado, que solo denota el cariño que los dueños tienen a esta propiedad. El sonido del bosque y del río fluyendo en la parte trasera de la propiedad es suficiente para perderte en tus pensamientos, meditar y sentir paz. Nos tocó lluvia, que solo agregó más magia a lugar. Cozy and Stunning

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Somnia Vera Riverside Cabin.Everything was as described and the cabin was so comfy and cozy. The river view was gorgeous and we saw bald eagles flying by everyday, as well as other wildlife; like Douglas Squirrels, a Goosander, and an American Dipper.Highly recommend and hopefully we'll be back for a summer stay

Best VRBO we have stayed at. Very quiet and relaxing. If you need to detox from stress you will need to stay here. Great communication from the host making sure we were loving our stay. Highly recomend!

Perfect unplugged weekend

The property is stunning with unbeatable views! The kitchen had all necessary utensils for cooking and the manual provided for house instructions was very intuitive. I will mention the house is off the grid (WiFi available) so take that into consideration. The host was communicative and we would definitely stay again

Such a beautiful cabin! I was a little hesitant about the off-grid/generator run amenities, but the hosts made everything very straightforward and they have thought of everything! And we never dropped below 90% energy use of the house. If you are looking for a cozy stay near the national park, this is the perfect cabin!!

North Cascades Fall getaway

We Wanted to spend a couple nights in a cabin on the river while doing hikes in the North Cascades. we felt ourselves to be extremely fortunate to have found Somnia Vera Riverside retreat. The cabin and setting were gorgeous. Everything was carefully thought out by the owners. Communication was exemplary. We travel frequently and this will definitely be on our shortlist of places to come back to soon.
