Motel a Marion

“I never leave reviews. I do a lot of solo traveling, and have stayed in many motels. I just need a clean bed and shower for the night. I booked for 2 nights since I was hiking in area. Room smelled like stale smoke so I asked for a different room, they had none available unless I wanted to pay $10 more for a different room.. they finally were able to “find” me one for same price of $100. for one night. “The only good thing I can say about this property was the man at the front desk. He was very kind and unstanding when after going to my room and seeing how awful it was he was understanding that I couldn't stay there. The room was old and very run down. The bed had cigarette burns and stains all over it, along with many hairs in the sheets. The bathroom was stained and dirty looking. The door to the room had a huge gap under it that all kinds of critters could crawl under it. I did not feel safe...

“Only issue I had was the coffee maker in my room did not work (I honestly didn't think to report it, I was there to attend a funeral and my mind was all over the place). I went to the breakfast area in search of coffee to find there was no coffee there either. I went to a fast food place nearby to get my morning coffee.”

“Room was clean, but we found a hair in the bed, so could be a little cleaner. Bathroom was spotless and beautiful! Terry, the woman at the front, was wonderful to talk to and very understanding to us getting in late on check in. We ended up checking out a little late and they had no problem with it too. Overall, a great stay and will be comjng back in the summer! ”
