Casa sul lungomare privato

La casa si trova sulle rive del fiume Chocolay e a poco più di un miglio dal Lago Superiore. La pista ciclabile è proprio in fondo alla strada e ci sono facili sentieri e racchette da neve proprio fuori dalla porta sul retro. Percorsi escursionistici e racchette da neve più estesi sono circa 10 minuti. Abbiamo kayak di fiume e, a seconda del livello dell'acqua e degli ingorghi, è solo una discesa di due ore verso il Lago Superiore. Situato a 12 minuti dal centro di Marquette e a 30 minuti da Munising; opportunità all'aperto e culturali abbondano.

Ci piace pescare, fare escursioni, sci e mountain bike. Durante il soggiorno è possibile conservare biciclette, attrezzatura da sci, ecc.

Abbiamo completamente dipinto e ridecorato la nostra casa. C'è la connessione Wi-Fi disponibile e una nuova smart TV da 65 "4K nella grande sala. La camera da letto della regina ha un nuovo materasso di schiuma di memoria e un televisore a schermo piatto, nonché uno spazio di scrittura / lavoro.

L'intero piano terra è tuo, circa 2000 metri quadrati con una splendida vista sul fiume e finestre in ogni stanza.

La mini-cucina ha un piccolo lavandino, un frigorifero in dormitorio, un tostapane, una grande caffettiera e un forno a microonde. Ci sono anche diverse porte USB in cucina.

Sei il benvenuto in una partita di biliardo e / o una lunga sauna calda.

This property and owners are lovely. Everything is immaculate. We were warmly welcomed and treated so well. This is the best experience we have had staying when the owners are also onsite. The backyard is gorgeous; having stayed in summer we certainly were at peak time though I imagine it is beautiful year round.

As first time users to VRBO, we hit the jackpot with this property and the hosts are amazing Polly & Dennis made us feel so welcome and were always available to answer any questions. Even though they do reside on the main floor of the home, we still had plenty of privacy. We gave them 5 stars and they deserved every one. The only issue we had was VRBO itself. There were a few issues through them that had nothing to do with the property owners that eventually worked out, but made us a bit nervous right before our vacation. Our family had a great time and our stay with them exceeded our expectations. We hope to book with them again soon. Thanks again Dennis & Polly!

We have visited Polly & Dennis’s beautiful home/property several times. They are wonderful hosts & are now friends. We are sad each time we have to leave. Even with a few days of poor weather, we found things to do & still enjoyed being there. We look forward to the next time we return to Lion’s Leap.😊👍☀️

We’ve stayed at Dennis & Polly’s a few times, now. They are always so kind & welcoming. This was our first winter stay there. We came to the area to snowmobile. After a day on the trails, we came back to enjoy their beautiful home. The fireplace took away the chill & the sauna was very relaxing, after a day of riding, in the cold temps. It is so beautiful in all seasons!!

Polly and Dennis are amazing hosts with a beautiful property. The only suggestion I have would be to have a door to the basement that could lock for security and peace of mind for guests. Although we felt safe, the way the world “operates” today that extra piece of privacy would be a great addition to the property especially staying with children.

Dennis and Polly were the best hosts imaginable! They gave us information and helped us with everything. From deciding where to hike, to lighting an evening fire for roasting marshmallows. The property is gorgeous. We didn't quite realize that it was an upstairs/downstairs arrangement, but we would probably have been lost without them. All in all, we had a wonderful stay.

Our stay was fantastic. The property is beautiful, the accommodations are more than adequate, and we can’t say enough about the owners. From the date of booking, communication was clear and they went out of their way to welcome us and to make sure we had everything we needed. Staying at their property was like staying with family (family that you like 😊). We definitely recommend this place!!

We had a great stay at Dennis and Polly's place. The property is well-appointed and spacious and they were super helpful in finding hikes, rides, beaches and restaurants. The outdoor space is just what we were hoping for in a UP vacation. Great view of wildlife in the river and yard and great place for star-gazing. Hope to return soon!

We decided to go to see the Eben Ice Caves and do some winter hiking for our anniversary and found this little treasure in the process! Polly and Dennis could not have been more kind and welcoming. They offered suggestions for places we might like to see as well as places to eat. We arrived late but had a note with instructions and a heated garage to park our car in. This was nice because it snowed quite a bit. Polly left us a lovely anniversary treat!!! The view from our bedroom and the main living area looks over a wooded area. We saw eagles and wild turkeys. The location was convenient to all of the places we wanted to visit. We could not have been more relaxed and comfortable for our trip. We can hardly wait to come back!

Dennis and Polly were amazing hosts! We were so impressed with the home and the cleanliness of it all. We don’t leave home often because we miss the comfort of our own house. Not anymore! We had great communication from the owners before our stay to help us plan activities that we would be able to do at the time of year in advance. We really appreciated all the helpful hints. The space was very clean and my kids loved playing pool. There was even a treat for us to eat. It was chilly when we were there and it was great to relax in the sauna at the end of the day after hiking in the area. We are hoping to stay here again during a different season.
