We booked and pre-paid through Expedia and had received our confirmation etc however when we arrived in Morocco in the evening we found out that the place was under construction and not available.
When we tried to book another hotel nearby via the Expedia website we could not and would recover the message ‘ something went wrong’.
I messaged Expedia rep for help & they could not reach this hotel nor could they tell me why I was receiving an ‘something went wrong’ when I tired to book other accommodation. They thought it might be too late in the evening to book at Hotel in the app in this city.
Thankfully we found a nearby hotel in person however the cost for one night was the same as 3 nights at this hotel.
Expedia rep offered 50 $ for the challenge and said they would contact this hotel.
I have not heard any message back from Expedia nor this hotel. I’m quite disappointed wit both parties .
This was an expensive and stressful situation that could have been avoided. It was terrible to arrive in the evening in a unknown city thinking all was paid for arranged & then to find out there is no place to stay.
