Excellent communication with John. House was clean with basic essentials provided minus toaster. Could use some updated pans for cooking. Fireplace is not working and hot tub is leaking. View was incredible. Only one paddle for ping pong table was available. Televisions inside bedrooms were ancient and unable to be used. Prob would not stay again just for convenience and comfort but price was nice given the location.

Christmas Getaway

It was like a winter Wonderland. It was snowing on the day that we got in the ski and ski out snowblowing machine gave us constant fresh snow to play in the house was cozy beautiful fireplace beautiful view couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas 2024.

Mountain Cabin Retreat

The cabin was great with three levels. Plenty of room for the five of us. Amazing views of the mountains from the wrap around deck on two levels. The gas grill and hot tub on the deck was a plus as was the lower level ping pong table and washer and dryer.

Great view - lots of space - more than adequately furnished and tons of kitchen and dining supplies. Very comfortable beds - plenty of privacy. Ideal for rest and relaxation but several small towns nearby and easy trip to Asheville. Wonderful massages at Bountiful Massages at bottom of hill. Also a great Provisions store at bottom of hill with great take out food.

Breathtaking Views

Perfect location if you’d prefer a secluded stay. I suggest you get groceries before going up the steep, winding mountain road to the beautiful community that this home is located in. Unless you don’t mind driving those roads. The home, the views, everything was beautiful. It’s well stocked with kitchen supplies, if you plan to cook there, which we did for breakfast, lunch and a dinner. Mars Hill, the town, has 2 restaurants, a pizzeria and a burger type joint. Both were very good and affordable. The town also has a very nice grocery store, Dollar General and stores like that if you plan on cooking in or for something you have forgotten. But, it’s all based on if you don’t mind driving the very steep, winding road. At night the road is a bit scary. But we quickly got used to it and just made sure we arrived back at the house before dark. If your plan is to spend a lot of time in Asheville, it’s a little further away then we expected and the mountains make the drive a bit longer then we thought. Lovely, lovely home. Ping pong table, hot tub, the views. Absolutely perfect! The owner is very easy to contact and accommodating. 2 of our guests flew in at 10:30am. Check In wasn’t until 4pm but he graciously allowed us a more accommodating check in time so they didn’t have to sit at the airport for half the day. The beds are so comfortable! Extra blankets in the trunk-like coffee tables if you need them like we did. Separate heater for the downstairs level. We enjoyed every second!

Beautiful spot!!!

My family and I had a wonderful, relaxing stay in the mountains at this cabin. It was exactly what I was looking for. Top of a mountain, beautiful views, wood cabin, hot tub…just perfect. We stayed for 4 nights and did not leave the cabin. We enjoyed the games in the downstairs, nature walks in the woods, the hot tub, and all the sunsets on the deck. I would definitely go back.

Great stay

The hidden chalet was a great stay with good views. Everything looked like the pictures and slept 6 people very comfortably we could’ve fit more people for sure. I do feel like it could’ve been a bit cleaner in the kitchen and the dining area. Other than that my friends and I enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!
