Lovely house but Awkward Indoor Security Cameras
A lovely house in a quiet neighborhood of Menlo Park, and this rental COULD have been amazing!! Unfortunately, when we arrived, their cleaning service had forgotten strawberries in the refrigerator. Completely covered in mold.And after walking in, we noticed multiple security cameras built into the home on the inside of the space. I have no issue with exterior security cameras, but it is creepy and voyeuristic to have cameras inside the house that is rented out! Not ok. After reaching out to the property management about this, they assured me that the cameras were not activated. But there were definitely lights in the security camera in the stairwell from the first to the second floor. If the cameras are truly not being utilized, they need to have them removed!The house itself was lovely and had plenty of room for our family to come down for graduation. Location was quiet and easy to find. About 15 minutes to Stanford and had a grocery store very close driving distance. But be warned that the additional fees are the same whether you stay three days or three months. So outrageously priced for a short stay! It could be an amazing rental if they just fix these issues…
