The Space:

This cozy retreat comfortably accommodates up to seven guests, featuring a primary bedroom with a queen bed, a second bedroom with a full-over-twin bunk bed, and a living room sleeper sofa for additional space.

With a charming wood-burning fireplace and a mini-split AC in the main living space, this home provides the perfect setting for a cozy evening after a day of outdoor adventure. Spend your nights gathered around the backyard firepit, making s’mores and sharing stories, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Northern Michigan. The fenced backyard, complete with a large firepit, creates an ideal space for memorable summer gatherings under the stars. Additionally, the spacious 20x24 garage offers ample storage for all your recreational gear, ensuring you have everything you need for an unforgettable stay.

Ideally situated near Northern Exposure Campground (beach day passes are $5), Hodenpyle Dam, the North Country Trail, and the scenic Manistee River, this cottage is a dream for outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, or snowmobiling, the surrounding area offers endless opportunities for adventure. Plus, with Crystal Mountain Resort just 20 minutes away, Caberfae Peaks within 25 minutes, Cadillac a short 30-minute drive, and Traverse City only 45 minutes away, you'll be close to some of Michigan’s most popular destinations.

Rental Policy:
•No smoking or fireworks permitted.
•No pets.
•No events, parties, or large gatherings.
•Minimum booking age is 25.
•One (1) dog is ok with approval. $150 non-refundable pet fee will apply.

To help you relax and enjoy your stay, we have partnered with Safely to provide all reservations with damage protection. The cost for Safely is $49 for 1-29 nights, $249 for 30-59 nights, $319 for 60-89 nights, and $390 for 90-119 nights. All reservations will initially be charged a $49 Safely Damage Insurance Fee. For stays longer than 29 nights, the additional charges will be processed after booking. All reservations are subject to the guest agreement terms, conditions, and fees.

Guest Access:
This property features self-check-in. Check-in is permitted between 4:00 pm -10:00 pm. Guest are responsible for having their check-in instruction before arrival. Check-in instructions are sent after completing our guest check-in form and agreeing to our terms of service. The home's property address will also be sent separately 72 hours prior to check-in.

Other Things to Note:
Guests are provided with a small amount of the basic essentials including 2 rolls of paper towels, 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, 2 laundry pods, 2 dish pods, a full dish soap dispenser, and full soap dispensers in each bathroom, and basic cleaning supplies. Guests are not to use the host's inventory of bulk supplies left at the property and should be prepared to supply their own as needed for longer stays.

CHECK OUT INSTRUCTIONS:
•November-April: Set the heat/thermostat to 55 degrees and close the blinds.
•May-October: Shut off everything and close the blinds.
•Strip beds (not mattress pads) and pile all sheets and towels on the floor near the washer. Start a load of towels in the washer. (If applicable.)
•If you used more than 2 shower towels, hand towels, or washcloths per person we ask that you wash, dry, and put the excess away before checking out. (If applicable.)
•Dispose of all food. No food or beverages are to be left inside the property.
•Put all trash in the garbage bin. Trash instructions are noted in your Guest Guide Link. Please take the trash to the road if your stay falls on or within 48 hours of trash day.
•Put patio cushions back. (If applicable.)
•All dishes must be washed, dried, and put away. Dirty dishes may result in a $100 additional guest cleaning fee.
•Turn off all lights.
•Lock the door.
