Family vacation

We liked to be on the 2nd floor because sometimes the elevators are busy and you can take the stairs instead. We also like the balcony. People come and go and it’s fun to sit and watch. You need the Fob to take the elevator. The laundry room had cockroaches. The rooms are nice. Furniture nice. First room has 2 Queen the other 2 double. Did not like the sheets on the double it was not cotton. It’s time to change them. The kitchen can have more storage containers. The playroom was alway closed. unfortunate that the building doesn’t allow people to hang pool side after sunset.

Great location!

Communication was great. We were met upon arrival and shown where to park, how to check in and navigate the property. They were very responsive via text during our stay as well. Our kids loved the pool and easy beach access. We ate a lot of meals at the condo and everything we needed was in the kitchen! Only negative was the condo needed some maintenance (cracked floor tiles). Other than that, everything was lovely!

Winter Get Away

Very nice property, well maintained with friendly staff. Check-in process for our unit was excellent. We were in the unit, informed about complex within 30-45 minutes. Pablo was great.

Nice stay! Definitely some pros and cons

Pros: the condo itself is very clean! There are towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, and a beach cooler we were able to use. We has access to a heated pool and the beach. There is a coffee machine which is nice. Pablo, the host, is very attentive and helpful if there are any concerns. There is a smart TV with a Roku, so you can log in if you have an account to watch shows and movies. The AC works great, which is nice on hot days. Cons: there is NO hot tub (which was advertised under amenities on Vrbo). Also, the washer and dryer cost $2 each. Make sure you ask your host for a laundry card because if you purchase it yourself, it will cost $7 just for the card alone. Then, you have to load money onto the card (there is a $10 minimum for loading it). Then, you need to load the washer with your own detergent (there isn’t any supplied by the room). So keep in mind that yes, there is a washer/dryer, but it is very expensive and pretty inconvenient. If you have a car, EXPECT TO PAY $155 AT CHECK IN ($20 of which has to be cash). It costs $75 a week to park and you need to get 2 “fobs.” These fobs cost $30 each, and they get you access to the pool and beach. The $20 is a cash deposit for if you lose the parking pass, so you should get that back at the end of the week. There is a lady at the check in desk that was very rude to my sister and I. She rolled her eyes at us multiple times and seemed annoyed at us. We really didn’t appreciate her attitude as we were very nice to her.

Amazing

Absolutely beautiful place, very clean, sanitize, we stay for 5 days but we had a blast. Walking distance to the beach. Ocean Water was clear and safe. 100% recommended! thank you Pablo for great communication.

Family getaway

Perfectly located apartment, close to supermarket, liquor, restaurants and most importantly the beach! My family and I went for a relaxing getaway, we didn’t even have to leave building premises to get to beach and the pool was amazing. Apartment super well equipped, clean and spacious. Communication was flawless and super attentive. So glad we got to enjoy some days off here. Thank you!

Never Again _ Booked 5 Nights Left After 4. Still Awaiting a Refund of One Night.

The Manager was difficult to locate and had poor English He was happy to tell us how many apartments he managed in the building but could not find us an alternative apartment when we were dissatisfied with our accommodation. The Tides Building is old and needs renovating and is in a very poor location. There are insufficient lifts for the guests who often came in straight from the beach and pool wet and covered in sand. Hogging pool chairs is not monitored. The apartment is on floor 2 on the end with no view except the busy car park and is adjacent to a noisy 24 hour main road with car fumes and noise all day and night. The two beds in bedroom one both collapsed on night one until repairs were carried out. There was no basic food in the apartment no tea bags coffee milk etc as a welcome to to the apartment in fact the kitchen was bare. No TV list or operation guidelines. There was a fire door in the kitchen with no secure lock which opened directly to the corridor next to the main door. The location in relation to getting food or eating out was non existent unless you had a car. Walmart was at least a mile away over a bridge and the Broardwalk (overated) 2 and half miles way with no parking even if had a car. There is a very basic food shop but it is in building 2. By the way if you spoke Spanish you would be comfortable in Tides. We often thought we were in Mexico. Paid 5 nights left after 4. Still awaiting a refund for one night. Wish us luck!

Four stars

The location was good for our family. Beautiful pools and easy to get to the beach. Wish they offered a beach chair service but our unit provided chairs and umbrella to take with us.kitchen was well equipped. I have 2 issues #1 the beds were very uncomfortable please get new mattresses. #2 there were no bath exhausts. Pablo was very accommodating for early/late checkin/checkout. Would stay here again when in this area.

Unit was clean and spacious. Need some music near the pool and a bar area to get a cocktail.The lobby and hallway areas could use some updating. We did have an issue with the bed slates in the room to your right. I am still waiting for my refund of $60 from Pablo via venmo. Thank you Jamie and Family

Beautiful apartment, great location

The apartment was clean and it was better than the pictures, some furnitures and decoration have been changed. The location is great, right on the beach and close to shops, restaurants and supermarkets

Misrepresented in listing - if you want ocean view DO NOT assume Ocean front has an ocean view!

Getting into this property was like getting into Fort Knox, everyone needed wrist bands and NO visitors were allowed, friends in the area were not even allowed to visit.

Looks better in pictures. Balcony faces a very busy street. Old building that was poorly remodeled. It had no fan in either bathrooms so we had to shower in the one bathroom that had a window to open to let humidity out!!! Manager didn’t have a solution when asked why there was no fan in bathrooms-just said that it was an old building. He was fairly responsive when we asked for kitchen and hand bathroom towels. Moldy old mattress was not removed from unit at our arrival. Can’t imagine what the rest of them looked like. Mold triggered a severe asthma attack therefore I couldn’t enjoy my vacation. Definitely not recommend it!

Our apartment was visually clean, however there were a number of electronic air fresheners masking some smell, that seemed to be Currie. When I got into my bed the first night, it was Sandy, telling me the sheets were not clean.

Renters Beware!

I'll start off by saying that this is my 4th rental through VRBO over the past 3 years (3 in Florida) and I have not been disappointed ~ until now. My biggest complaint is that the Property Manager (Pablo) was totally unresponsive to my text messages AFTER we arrived. We did communicate over text the week before our visit and the day of our arrival, so we were able to communicate fine. I texted Pablo a question the day after we arrived but no answer. I texted him again the next day, still no answer. He did not get back to me for the entire week ~ totally ghosted us. Here are some things you should know: 1) Insects: we had an infestation of tiny spiders and ants in the kitchen. They found their way into everything and that was very unsettling. 2) Beds: uncomfortable because they were supported by tiny slats of wood that would slip out of the bed frame if you just moved around to get out of bed and the mattress would sag down. 3) Air Conditioning: the living room unit controlled the main living area and the master bedroom. The temperature is controlled, so in the evenings it would get very warm in the master bedroom to sleep. 4) Language barrier: if you don't speak Spanish, you are at a disadvantage. Even the page of useful information to the renters posted in the unit were only in Spanish. I would have preferred to speak with the property manager first, however since I was unable to, I have decided to post my comments here.

Le descriptif fait par Expédia n’est pas conforme aux services proposés, ni au montant des prestations (sous-estimeés) par Expedia. Dès le deuxième jour j’ai contacté Expedia, qui m’a réorientée vers un de ses partenaires VRBO, qui m’a lui-même réorienté vers le propriétaire… résultat: j’ai demandé un relogement qui a dans un premier temps accepté puis après m’avoir proposé 3 logements, VRBO est revenue sur sa décision en me disant que nous n’étions pas éligible. J’ai passé 3 jours de mes vacances à essayer de trouver une solution… je n’ai toujours aucun retour. Je vais saisir le médiateur du tourisme, pour régler cette affaire.

Communication was excellent with owner, clean unit. The management of the building aren’t very friendly, but that’s out of their control. The unit is very well stocked with towels and everything you need.

The condo was absolutely beautiful, the condo owner takes great care of the place, and he is very thoughtful.. he had plenty of towels, blankets, and games/magazines for us. I was very impressed, the condo was so clean and very well decorated!
