It is a penthouse with a luxurious view. The unit was clean and we had a great time at the beach. The shower nozzles do not work leading to a drip at the head not strong enough to wash your face, and a mediocre spray at the knees. Upon notifying the host, she messaged me that a service person checked our shower and she had ordered a new panel for less than 24 hour delivery and install. Not surprisingly, it never showed or was installed. In addition to the shower not functioning properly, the hair dryer does not work, and the left sink only has hot water. There was a lot of dark/black hair throughout the apartment. You will receive no information until the exact time of check-in, which is different than a lot of VRBO processes. Understandably, the codes, access details, etc can’t be shared, but tips on shops, restaurants, etc can all be sent ahead of time rather than so much all at once. The host will not have provided all guests names and ages to the building security and thus at check-in, you will need to leave the line/check-in process, complete this task at a separate kiosk, and rejoin the end of the line. This is a wristband facility. All persons age 16 need to show ID and to be present at check-in to get wristbands.The beach is not groomed and the beach patrol heavily monitors swimmers, restricting any swim past ankle deep. For a variety of reasons specific to this property, and not necessarily the apartment, this is not a place we will return or recommend.
