In nearby Middlewich (10 minutes) you’ll find ample amenities together with a beautiful meandering canal system perfect for tow path cycling or strolls, and 15 minutes in the other direction is the pretty half-timbered town of Nantwich which offers good shopping and quite uniquely a seasonal outdoor salt swimming pool. Halfway between Chester (45 minutes) and Manchester (60 minutes) the location is within easy reach of a whole host of visitor attractions including many National Trust properties such as Tatton Park, Little Moreton Hall and Dunham Massey which can all be reached in around 30 minutes. The castles of Beeston, Cholmondley and Peckferton can also be reached in around 30 minutes as can Delamere Forest and Wild Shore Delamere. Chester Zoo and the Blue Planet Aquarium are around a 45-minute drive as is the Peak District National Park. Swapping coast for countryside you can reach the coastal areas of North Wales and Liverpool in around an hour or the thrills and spills of Britain’s premier theme park Alton Towers.
