Brand New in 2023, this Craftsman-style luxury cottage is situated on a quiet tree-lined street close to downtown Mill Valley. This charming home features open plan living with a gourmet kitchen as its focal point. All-new stainless-steel appliances and sleek quartz countertops create a stunning culinary space. There are multiple seating areas to enjoy, including a kitchen island with barstools and a cozy bench seat looking onto the private front deck. The fully equipped kitchen includes a full-sized fridge, dishwasher, electric range, Keurig coffee maker, air fryer, microwave, blender, food processor, cast-iron bread Dutch oven and hot water kettle. There is a more formal dining space with a table for 4, and the cozy living room has a sofa with chaise, and a 50" LED TV.

The cottage can accommodate up to 4 people sleeping in 2 bedrooms. The primary bedroom has a queen bed with memory foam topper, and a glass sliding door with views over the lush foliage at the rear of the property. There is a wall-mounted 50” LED TV. The second bedroom has a comfortable sofa bed, and office area with a desk. The bathroom has beautiful designer tile, and a tub with shower over. There is a full-sized washer/dryer in a separate laundry closet. Every detail has been thought of, including remote controlled window shades for light filtering, or extra privacy.

The cottage sits under a beautiful heritage oak, where squirrels and birds make their home. Savor the tranquility in your private front courtyard with a spacious deck and patio area.
Just minutes away is historic downtown Mill Valley, with its many boutique shops and restaurants. La Marais French bakery is one block away, or dash down to Whole Foods or Mill Valley Market for your fresh groceries. Mill Valley is steeped in history, and the main town square with the old train depot (now a café and bookstore) is a popular spot to hang out. Enjoy some live music at the Sweetwater Music Hall, or visit during the annual Mill Valley Film or Art Festivals. Mill Valley is the access point to Mount Tamalpais State Park, where visitors come from afar to hike the magnificent trails or visit the giant redwoods at Muir Woods. Just 10 minutes from the charming seaside town of Sausalito, 15 minutes to the Golden Gate Bridge and 30-45 minutes from the world famous wine country.

Everything was nearby, from restaurants to grocery stores to the freeway to shopping centers. The hosts are the most caring and helpful people, along with geniality and intelligence. Besides all the above the cottage is charming and so well equipped. Bravo!

Outstanding property

This is the best VRBO property I’ve stayed in. It is exactly as described in the listing. It is perfect for a long stay in Mill Valley or as home base when visiting San Francisco area. patio shaded by a beautiful heritage oak. The open plan cottage creates multiple seating areas and two outdoor spaces in the private front deck and patio. It was designed and furnished with care and attention to detail, as if the cottage had been prepared by a friend who tried to anticipate every need. The kitchen was as well equipped with small appliances and kitchen gadgets, as my own kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was stocked with toiletries and more than enough towels. Everything needed for an enjoyable and comfortable month long stay is provided. The hosts were were responsive and available to provided information about local attractions. I had my four granddaughters who live in Mill Valley spend the night with me one at a time and they were delighted to spend the night at Grandma’s magical cottage. This brand new luxury cottage was a pleasure from my first contact with the hosts until the final day. I recommend this property without reservation and plan to return on my next trip to Mill Valley. Luxurious and Family Friendly Cottage

This place is wonderful! We stayed here for six weeks while we were renovating our home in Mill Valley. The cottage is newly built and and has all the modern conveniences required for an extended stay. It is thoughtfully decorated but not overly precious, so we were able to enjoy living in beautiful space without panicking that our two and four year old would wreck something. While the footprint is small, the layout is such that we had a smooth flow between spaces, and never felt cramped. The kitchen is especially spacious and has all the cooking, dining, and even storage items you’ll need to use the space as you would your own home. The bathroom has great storage as well, between a large vanity and medicine cabinet mirror, so everything can stay tidy. We found the linens to be soft and the beds comfortable. There is a lovely front porch and garden, which is shaded by the a wonderful giant oak tree. The neighborhood is very safe, and just a couple blocks from Boyle Park (easily one of the town’s favorite parks as it has play areas for multiple ages, bathrooms, and some shade) the home is also easy walking distance to Marais bakery, or the restaurants and coffee shops at the Lumberyard. We were very grateful to have stayed here, it made the renovation so much more manageable having such a magical little cottage to stay in. Thanks again to the gracious hosts, who were excellent in their communication and extremely kind!
