“We stayed here one night. The room itself wasn't bad but someone had previously been smoking in the bathroom as it stunk of stale cigarette smoke, and I really should have asked for another room. We found the Wifi was non-existent on the standard network until we got the owner to hook us up on the 2.4ghz network in the hotel. He put the password in our devices himself....Then the Wifi was good. We had a swim in the pool which was really nice. There was aircon in the room but it didn’t seem to...

“I was hacked off both with the hotel and with hotels.com. Upon our arrival, we found that this hotel was closed up and evidently no longer trading. The reception door was not just locked but chained up. There was no-one around. No furniture in reception and litter on the floor. Telephoned but the call was rejected. Had to find another hotel urgently. This was despite hotels.com sending me the usual e-mail a few days before reminding us of our booking and wishing me a good stay. I only hope that...
