“My kids, grandkids ages 8-17 stayed for 4 days in December. It was nice that the house was decorated. We enjoyed the hot tub and the ping pong table. We visited the Farnsworth House nearby which was really interesting!”

“The property has some safety issues that need to be addressed. Master bed was comfortable. Didn’t sit outside as there were too many bugs. The host was communicative prior to arrival. ”

“Beautiful scenic view of the river. First time fishing for my son, who absolutely adored it! Thank you for the host for being so generous and letting us borrow his fishing supplies. Neighbors were nice. The state park was fun to visit too. We grilled, made s'mores, relaxed, and had an amazing long weekend. Would highly recommend. ”

“We had a great time with our family and got lots of use out of the pool and we also brought our bikes and went to the nearby park. The neighborhood is gorgeous! The only disappointment about our stay was that there was no hot water in the house, so we were unable to bathe us or our children. Not a horrible deal for us for two nights, but it would have been nice to know beforehand. ”

“Family members traveled from Northern Wisconsin and Western Pennsylvania to join in on the celebration of another family member's 45 years of teaching/retirement observance in nearby Yorkville. Three generations stayed comfortably in the spacious home. “We were disappointed in this unit. This is a very old building that needs a lot of work. The windows are filthy. The front door mats are bunched up in a pile on the front stoop. The ‘movie themed’ decor was chinsy at best. The parking area is filled with garbage, broken cinder blocks, a tire, and a junked car. There weee old shoes on balcony. The ‘landscaping’ was filled with garbage and debris. The check-in rules and regulations are extensive (requiring expensive insurance or $5,000 cash...

“We should have listened to the other reviews on this place, but unfortunately there wasn't much in the area to choose from. From the moment we walked in it smelled terrible, almost like a skunk smell. Obviously it's right on the Fox River so there's going to be bugs but a lot of the windows especially upstairs are not sealed right and in one of the bedrooms there were a ton of mosquitoes and other bugs all over the ceiling. Thankfully we found some ant spray in a random cabinet and were able to...

“We spent a wonderful weekend fishing with friends and rented this house on the river. We absolutely loved everything about our stay. The fish were biting well, and the house was very clean and cozy. The interior of the house is beautiful, all finished in wood, which creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.Our kids also enjoyed it very much and had a great time. Fishing was convenient right from the pier, which was a big plus for us.I highly recommend this house for fishing trips and family...
