Het resort ligt 10 min wandelen van de boot (vanuit Split). Van het resort naar het dorp is het een prachtige wandeling van 18 min. maar wel bloedheet, nergens schaduw. Om brood te halen moet je dit dus ook doen, best vroeg genoeg. Daartegenover staat dat het een prachtige en rustige ligging is. Je kan aan het zwembad zitten en 50 meter verder zit je aan het rustige strand! Veel lekkere restaurantjes in het dorp en op weg naar het dorp. We hebben voor een dag een bootje gehuurd, een aanrader. Het resort zelf was proper en ruim. Wel veel verschil tussen de appartementen. Ons appartement had een heel ruim, schaduwrijk terras. Dat van onze vrienden was klein en in de zon. Onze badkamer had een douchestang, dat van onze vrienden niet en was een zitbad onder schuin dak. Het aanwezige keukenmateriaal was echt ondermaats (2 messen, 2 glazen,...) Maar het blijft een prachtige, romantische, rustige en prijs/kwaliteit goede accomodatie. De receptie was ook zeer behulpzaam (voor uitstap-tips, het reserveren van taxi/auto, ...)

Perfect quiet getaway

We wanted a very quiet getaway and these apartments just outside Milna were definitely it. We had a top floor sea view with a balcony and it was well equipped with a hob, sink, fridge, and all cutlery and crockery. The view was fantastic, especially to see all the small boats coming in at night. The pool was very good with plenty of loungers and shade. The restaurant was excellent. It is about 10 minutes walk out of Milna centre but that would be along the sea on a good path so absolutely not a problem as it is a very relaxing walk around the harbours. Milna is a good base to explore Brac Island from as you can get to Supetar and Bol very easily.

Fint nok med plads til forbedringer

Vi rejste med vores datter på lige under 2 år. Vi fik ikke tømt skrald så ofte så måtte selv gå ret langt med affald. Servicen i restauranten var ikke optimal. Vi kom ned for at få frokost 11.30, hvilket er almindeligt med amå børn, men vi fik at vide at de først begyndte at servere frokost en time senere, så vi måtte spadsere ind til den lille by, hvor der til gengæld var en ret lækker restaurant.

Perfect getaway

Such a lovely hotel in an idyllic location. The owners run it superbly and are very friendly. We had an amazing time - it was just so relaxing! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for some peace and quiet for a week or two.

Our worst accommodation in Croatia

The pictures looked a lot better that what the place is in real life. The room was basic with old fashioned furniture, the tile floor was greasy, there was no hot water in the shower. The air conditioned didn't work and when we asked for a fan they didn't have any. We booked for 2 nights but left after one. They said they wouldn't charged us as we were unhappy but when we left we discovered they charged us. Very disappointing experience. Our worst accommodation out of our 2 weeks in Croatia. This hotel really needs some money spent on it to bring it up to a modern level.

Avoid this hotel at all cost

We arrived at Illyrian Resort around 18:00 after a long journey all the way from Istria. When we arrived the reception looked kind of chaotic as it was used as a bar/storage room but the manager soon came to greet us and took our payment right away. After that one of the staff members took us to the room which had not been cleaned yet and was still dirty after the last guests. Then she took off to the reception and let us wait in the room for ten minutes and then came back to tell us we had to wait for thirty minutes for the room to be cleaned. Being really tired this was frustrating and we asked to pay for an upgrade as we were not really impressed by looks of the room. She said that was not possible and we were offered lemonade while we waited. When the room was "ready" it was still filthy and damp as the air con was not even working. The room was also poorly maintained, lightbulbs missing and electronic sockets open etc. There were hair from previous guests in the bathroom and the mirror had obviously not been cleaned for some time. Spider webs all over in the bedroom. We told them we could not stay in the room and that is was unacceptable that the air con was working in 35 degrees. Their answer was that the central cooling system in our building was not working and they hoped that it would get fixed soon. We complained several times but they never seemed to offer any solutions or offers. We left early next morning even though we already paid for four nights.

Very nice hotel right by edge of the sea.

Our room was comfortable. Balcony overlooked the sea and pool. Aircon in the room too. Illyrian is built on a hillside. Many steps down to reception and up again to pool and some rooms. Not a beach as such. More a rocky outcrop next to beautiful clear water. Pool was lovely. Restaurant very good indeed. Never had anything but excellent food and service.

Hidden gem

The hotel is situated about 20 mins walk from Milna and about 10 minutes from where the catamaran drops off. There's not much other development around it, which means its a very quiet and unspoilt location. The hotel facilities were great, good size v clean pool. The sea is just opposite the hotel though and was warm and really clean and easy to access from the rocks. We were really happy with the size of our room which had a reasonably well equipped kitchen area, enough to make breakfasts and lunches at any rate. Nice large balcony too. Staff were helpful and friendly. Milna is quite a small place, but perfect if you're looking for a few days of peace between sight seeing in Dubrovnik or Split.

Disappointing even for not in season

Unaware of "not in season" dates the hotel was not prepared for guests. There was no daily housekeeping, no clean sheets or removal of trash. No wash cloths or tissues were provided. The mattress was old and misshapen and uncomfortable. Air conditioning was never cool, hot water was not running upon arrival. No restaurant services were available. No amenities other than the pool.

Not as advertised

The hotel owners were great, but this was no resort. The owners were very friendly and did accommodate our requests when asked. Sadly, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable and hurt my back! My friends who stayed in different rooms also had the same problem and ended up sleeping on their couch! My couch wasn't any better. The website said Breakfast and Wifi was included. However, because we were there before the season started, their breakfast service hadn't started yet! We had to walk 20 minutes into town every morning for breakfast. There was wifi on the waterfront terrace. However; it was incredibly slow. I had to do some work while I was there and could barely get my email to go through after 30 minutes. There was no wifi anywhere else on the property. Not sure if this was another "pre-season" problem or not. The free internet in the port was better. There was no cleaning service either. Thankfully, we were just there for a long weekend, but our trash was never emptied, beds never made, and the towels were never refreshed. Speaking of towels, there were no pool-side towels. I hope this was just the out-of-season issues, but that doesn't change the comfort of the beds. There are also no handicapped accessibility. Lots of stairs everywhere and no porter service so don't pack anything you can't carry up several flights of stairs.

Perfect hideaway on a lovely island!

We loved our stay at Illyrian. Awesome location about a ten minute walk from the centre of Milna. It's a quiet location, right on the waterfront. We found having the apartment ideal for a bit of self-catering but the resort also has a lovely restaurant with waterfront views. Rooms are excellent for this price; clean, functional, all you need. Try to get a pool or sea view room as high in the buildings as you can (to clear the view past the trees). You can sit on your balcony and watch the yachts go by. There is really nothing to fault at Illyrian for this price.

As instalações são bem cuidadas e numa localização sensacional.O apto é enorme, limpíssimo e dispõe de itens básicos de cozinha, possibilitando fazer umas refeições no apto. As toalhas são minúsculas e os lençóis parecem menores que a cama, expondo o colchão constantemente. Se ficar num andar alto como nós, prepare-se para carregar suas malas pela escada, pois não há elevadores, nem carregadores, porém também terá uma linda vista da sacada do apto. Não recomendaria para pessoas com algum problema de mobilidade, pois há escadas para todos os lugares. O wifi é um problema sério. No quarto não funcionava, às vezes só na sacada (quando havia sinal no hotel). A piscina é uma delícia!! Há um restaurante no local, porém não gostamos das refeições que fizemos. Outros restaurantes foram superiores tanto em sabor quanto em preço. Não há limpeza diária. Apesar destas críticas,certamente eu voltaria, pois adoramos nossa estadia.

Fint lägenhetshotell nära bad och med pool

Fint och lugnt lgh-hotell ca en km från byn. Ingen städning gjordes men det var rent när vi kom. Hotellets restaurant var under all kritik!!! Annars hade jag gärna åkt dit igen men nej eftetsom det ligger en bit från Milnia så är det biktigt att maten ör vällagad och god.

Nice little hotel with amazing location

This hotel has a beautiful location by the beach and sea. Many rooms have a very nice seaview. Our room was a "forest view room". It had a bedroom and an open plan kitchen with a sofa bed plus a nice balcony. Don't have too high expectations of the standard of the rooms. They are very basic but certainly worked for us. It's the other things that makes this hotel great. The closeness to the beach, the restaurant (great food!) and the nice staff are the things we appreciated the most. Our family, 2 adults and a 4 year old, had a fantastic time here. It's just very relaxing to be here.
