overall house was in good shape, bed was decent, house was clean.host sent a lengthy message after booking of the do's and do not's.claimed Jacuzzi tub was not functioning, found out after booking. This was a main option for the booking, my wife really enjoys these and it was very disappointing to find this out after booking.Hot water time was a joke, water heater was probably set to vacation mode, or lowest possible setting. Could not take a relaxing shower any longer than 6-7 minutes of hot water. SO plan accordingly, because if you want to hop in the shower after someone else, it will be freezing.Bring your own pans if you plan to cook anything. All the Teflon pans were scratched- this is a health risk and should be thrown out. couldn't get the main living room fire place to workI cleaned everything as requested, washing machine room was probably the locked room so we couldn't wash any towels.there were some other issues but these are the main things

Family Vacation

There were many highlights of the stay but the biggest one was that there were no surprises. The listing matched our experience. The host did an excellent job setting and meeting expectations. Couldn't ask for a better location. Right on the lake and still being close to the Twin Cities when the weather didn't cooperate. If we were to come to Minnesota again we would re-book.

Forest Lake Relaxation

Lovely home with great views of the lake. Nice dock for casting a line and catching various panfish, docking a pontoon rented from Your Boat Club and watching sunrise or set. Outdoor kitchen/Grill was a wonderful way to cook one night, while Stella's on 97 and Zoukmaya were great nearby restaurants. A visit to Winehaven one day and Uncommon Loon the next made for a great jaunt before returning home to the gameroom and firepit to relax and drink some wine!

Great place to hang out with our adult kids. We wish the weather had cooperated better so that we could have utilized the outdoor space, but still enjoyed the lake views. We even saw a bald eagle amongst the numerous water fowl settling in for the upcoming summer!

I rented this place for my colleagues. They were thrilled by the location and beauty of the surroundings. Especially right on the lake. While this was primarily a work trip for all, they were able to relax in beautiful surroundings.

Beautiful lake home. Lots of space and right on the lake. Gorgeous master suite and comfy beds and pillows. Many TVs throughout the house. Very clean. Quiet neighborhood. We had a great stay. Would love to stay here again.

Bachelorette Party

Great house, the most beautiful view of the lake. Beds were comfy and the fireplace was perfect for such a cold weekend. The dining table extends with an extra leaf which was great for our big group. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, tools etc. The game room was great for activities needing more space and the heater was fantastic. There’s lots of parking space in the driveway. Great stay.

The home was advertised with items ( hot tub) that it didn’t have and I wasn’t made aware of those missing or not working items until we arrived and paid for. Small issue that we take greatly is we are big coffee drinkers. To have a small coffee maker ( and it was dirty) was not good. Just not happy about the weekend!

Wonderful long weekend on the Lake

Beautiful lake home! Property is very well kept and has many high end features that help keep the stay comfortable. The downstairs bedroom didn’t work very well for my parents with mobility issues, and the neighbor really does not like dogs, even a fully leashed, elderly, friendly lab who was in no way bothersome. Every other aspect of the property was absolutely stunning. Owners were friendly and helpful. Location is convenient. My 3 year old loved the clean, shallow lake, playroom, and local park. Don’t miss watching the sunrise over the lake!

Paradise only 45 minutes from Twin Cities

Great location with many options.

This property fits 6 adults very nicely and had many options for hot days on the lake or rain days in the garage game room. The property has a nice fire pit but does not provide wood. If you plan on more sleeping on the couch there is no window coverings on the main room for blocking the light. Enjoyed our stay!

Forest Lake Treat

We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful home right on the lake. The grandkids had a blast on the dock and in the water, the game room was an added bonus for entertainment. The second story deck has incredible views of the lake and surrounding area, would have spent the entire time there if possible :). Forest Lake has much to offer and would recommend all to check this home out for a great getaway!

Great lake. Property would be better for less people

The lake is great. You can catch lots of fish. The property is not comfortable for 8 people like the listing says it can sleep. This property would be good for 3 adults and 2 children max. The beds were not very comfortable. The futon is extremely uncomfortable. My daughter had to sleep on a cot in the closet. The owner came to get their boat while we were there and said it would take 10 min. My sister said it took more like an hour and she wanted to tan on the dock but felt uncomfortable. Our last day the owner sent two kids over to mow the lawn and pull weeds out of the lake. This was a couple hours which was weird as I was trying to work in the sunroom. Communication on that would have been nice. There was no body soap for the shower. Unfortunately it wasn't our best stay.

Fabulous stay right on the lake

This was a perfect vacation for my family! The use of space in the home was perfect, and the garage was a wonderful space to get away and play games and hang out. Loved using the kayaks every morning and waking up to the sunrise right outside the master bedroom! The dock was a great place to relax at too with a nice table and umbrella. We brought our boat and the owners were so kind as to give us tips about the lake and suggested boating over to the pizza pub, so fun! Great recreational and fishing lake, this was a trip to remember and we will be back!
