“I cannot say enough good things about Travessia. The location is absolutely stunning, the food is amazing, and the staff are so kind and thoughtful. Travessia is truly a place to get away from it all and I am so appreciative of our time there. We loved that it was an eco-lodge using solar energy and was also working with the local community to be a force for good. We travel a lot, but this may be my favorite place we have ever stayed.”

“The little lodge with the 2 wonderful managers made our stay great! Our lodge was very nice, had a great view and all the luxuries. It was nice to make walks on the beach. The managers arranged a nice tour to the local village. They do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It's a great place for relaxation.”

“Overall a nice stay except the resort was plagued with plumbing problems. In 4 days we has 5 major pipe failures and didn't get a warm shower once. The plumber was always around but busy so it seemed our problems were common. That aside the units were nice and in good condition and the management tried really hard to assist. Like most of Mozambique the area is spectacular.”

“This is a really lovely hotel. Felt super safe with nice food and beautiful rooms. Staff are very helpful and lovely. The only thing I would say is that I couldn’t go straight onto the beach from my room which is a short walk to the access point but I could nevertheless see it from my balcony. There are some building works in the area which didn’t affect me. I really appreciated the airport pick up and drop off too. I would come again. ”

The only thing I would say is that I couldn’t go straight onto the beach from my room which is a short walk to the access point but I could nevertheless see it from my balcony. There are some building works in the area which didn’t affect me. I really appreciated the airport pick up and drop off too. I would come again. ”

“The owner was very hospitable and even let us start a few hours past check out as our flight was at 2pm. Colleen also arranged for a lovely cultural tour at our request. It’s a very nice place and the included breakfast was made to order and delicious! Not some bland breakfast bar. It was like breakfast at a cute ocean view cafe where you could order an omelette or French toast. Great stay”

“Excelente recepção, cortesia e disponibilidade. Todo o pessoal, a partir dos proprietários aos trabalhadores, foi de extrema receptilidade e cortesia. As instalações estavam muito bem tratadas, decoradas com gosto e atenção ao mínimo detalhe. As tendas foram autênticos palácios nas arábias sem contudo entrar em luxos exagerados. Foi uma estadia que soube à pouco, deixando saudades mesmo antes da partida. Uma localização central em relação a outras atracções turísticas.”

“Mozambeat is a charming little hideout. Perfect spot to start your exploration of the Tofo area. The staff was friendly and helpful when suggesting things to do in the area. They have a nice area where guests can mingle over breakfast or late afternoon drinks. Went over low season so missed out on their famous parties and movie nights but enjoyed their ocean safari discount offer they have with PeriPeri divers which was worthwhile and one of the best afternoons in my stay. Highly recommend...

“The location is lovely, but the chalet itself was in a horrible condition when we arrived. It was extremly dirty and not in a good condition. The stuff and owners were very helpful, but that place definitely needs an upgrade. It is not a 3 star accommodation. ”
