This place is definitely no frills and right to the point. I was a little disappointed because when I booked online the room stated I was getting a handicap accessible room (my mother has Parkinson's and can barely move, let alone walk or climb stairs. When I checked into the hotel, the check in clerk was kind and welcoming. I asked her a few questions regarding the hotel including the handicap accessible room I purchased. She said the room I paid for was not handicap and stated it was on the second floor. I explained I needed a disability friendly room and she said there were none available. I also learned we were on the second floor so, being completely exhausted and not wanting to waste any more time I asked where the elevator was located and I learned there is no elevator.
I almost burst into tears but the kind woman looked and saw there was one room left on the ground floor- she said it's the "dog room" where travelers with pets stay in. I didn't see a problem; as long as it was cleaned regularly this would have to work.
Pros: The room was tidy and roomy enough. The refrigerator and ac worked well plus the room was near the parking lot which greatly helped when moving my mother from the car to the room.
Cons: The walls are thin and you could hear running / banging noises in the middle of the night. Also we kept getting bit by something throughout the night; it wasn't bed bugs (I looked through the mattresses for any debris) but I think they may have been fleas.
