“A unique Scottish hotel that is in the process of being renovated. Food was good and staff friendly, though reception appeared to be unstaffed. My room was one of the older ones so the renovation will be a big benefit but overall the hotel was great value and much better than an anonymous generic chain hotel.”

“What a gem! Arrived in time for dinner and had a great meal. Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our family room was clean and spacious with the beds made in a king and two singles configuration. The plug in fan a welcome addition during the heatwave. Tea/coffee and biscuits on offer in the room. Breakfast was delicious with a great assortment of cereals, white/seeded breads and preserves and various cooked options.”

“I can’t fault the Sure Hotel in Lockerbie. A beautiful building, fantastic en suite room, very clean and modern. Or host, the manager Glen couldn’t have been more helpful. Plenty of free secure parking and we ended up taking a lovely stroll into Lockerbie for dinner. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel, great staff who are so helpful. We’ll definitely be going again. ”

“We absolutely loved our brief stay here, would have happily stayed longer and plan to return if in the area. The property is beautiful and sits in stunning grounds, which we thoroughly explored thanks to the walk recommended by Stuart. We were made to feel very welcome by Ben at reception.
