“Recently renovated to a good standard. Going for the boutique style hotel of individual villas. Good location on the river with free airport shuttle. Only let down by the restaurant. “The Island Safari Lodge is a great option for those staying in Maun to explore the Okavango Delta, Chiefs Island, and Morami. The property is massive with extensive walking trails and wildlife. “Es handelt sich nicht um das ähnlich kostspielige Khwai Tented Camp, sondern lediglich um ein mobiles Zeltcamp mit einfachsten kleinen Zelten. Zwar war der Service der 5 Begleitpersonen gut, jedoch war die Getränkeauswahl extrem begrenzt! Wegen der trügerischen Verwechslungsgefahr zur weitaus komfotableren Lodge sind wir deshalb insgesamt ziemlich enttäuscht gewesen (2 Nächte für 2 Personen = 1200€) Was bleibt ist immerhin die Erfahrung mitten im Busch zwischen wilden Tieren geschlafen zu haben.”

“I have been in this lodge 2 days with my sons. I liked the style, the view and the staff. But in particular the surrounding area was amazing small rivers, lakes, wildlife was all there! Lions with cubs, a family of hyenas, antelopes, giraffes, wildebeests, bison… beautiful!”
