“Staff was lovely. So quiet! We walked to dinner and though it felt perfectly safe they sent a security guard along with us who then returned for our walk home. They even sent us with packed breakfasts before our early flight (which we didn’t even ask for!) Breakfast was lovely the day we were able to eat there too. ”

“Beautiful old mansion house converted to a lovely hotel. It was very quiet when we were there with just 1 or 2 other guests, but they looked after us well. Rooms newly redecorated (we loved the Galápagos room with undersea mural and in room clawfoot bath. Walkable to old town (15 minutes) and basilica (5 minutes) but not at night. On edge of nice small park Almeda. Breakfast fabulous with local hot dish choices as well as continental. Dinner was good with good choices presented nicely although...

“Excellent service! They run out to get your luggage, explain the amenities at the hotel, and show you to your room and the room’s features. Very clean! Very reasonably priced which included a bouquet of flowers, lots of snacks, a bottle of water, and a bottle of wine in our room. Hotel restaurant is almost as good as some expensive restaurants in large USA cities, but reasonably priced. The food and drink choices were plentiful and delicious.”

“This is a wonderful boutique hotel. I would suggest staying here to anyone coming to Quito. Joz and Freddy were so helpful and they gave us lots of good ideas for restaurants and other places to go. The room was so comfortable and clean. The breakfast including warm fresh bread and fruit was a highlight. ”

“A fine and warmly family operated old building tastefully updated to meet the needs of travelers visiting the area. And just an easy block and a half walk from the Plaza Grande; what more could you ask for? looking hard to find something to fault, the only thing I can think of is that the showerhead was a little difficult to reach in order to direct the flow of water. I hope that Lucia and her son Luis will be there to welcome me when I next visit their fair city.”

“Hotel a conduzione familiare. Pulizia impeccabile, a volte maniacale! Stanze ampie e decorate ognuna in modo diverso. Letto comodo. La cosa migliore di questo hotel è l'atmosfera di cordialità e allegria che si respira. Merito dei proprietari, anche gestori, sempre molto attenti a risolvere anche le più piccole richieste degli ospiti. Una menzione anche per il personale, sempre con il sorriso sulle labbra.”

“This is a lovely little hotel with a very welcoming feel and great staff. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the food (breakfast and dinner) in the cosy restaurant was excellent. The decor is designed to celebrate the cultural heritage of Ecuador and the whole layout is very attractive. The availability of complimentary fresh fruit in the sitting room area was a nice touch. Nothing to fault here, highly recommended.”

Each morning, a delicious, and ever changing, breakfast exceeded our expectations. We took a smaller room on an upper floor that had a view of the Panecillo and the location was convenient for walking throughout the Centro Histórico. Our first choice on any visit to Quito.”

“All the staff were exceptional. Breakfast was limited but okay. I requested a room with a view, but didn’t realize it was 6 floors up—with no elevator! Do I asked for a lower-level room and got one on the third floor. The next night I moved to a lower floor, however, it was very noisy. Good thing I had my ear plugs. The location is fantastic!”
