Questa favolosa casa su due piani, con quattro camere da letto, 1. 5 bagni in stile capo, sull'isola di Monhegan, offre spettacolari vedute d'acqua da entrambi i piani. La casa può ospitare comodamente un grande gruppo o una famiglia allargata. Magnolia House offre un open space, che è inondata di luce naturale attraverso le grandi finestre e molti lucernari. La cucina spaziosa e ben fornita con frigorifero e stufa in acciaio aggiornati rende la cottura un piacere. Prendi il sole su uno dei tre ponti privati ​​che si affacciano sui meravigliosi giardini perenni, o goditi il ​​camino in pietra fatto a mano in una sera fresca. Ci sarà un sacco di legna per te!

Separato media offre spazio tranquillo per la lettura, relax, o la famiglia serata al cinema con schermo piatto e Netflix. Casa ha diversi impianti stereo bluetooth di fascia alta per lo streaming di musica sul wifi ad alta velocità. Per gli ospiti in più, c'è un futon full size e un singolo letto estraibile, oltre alle camere da letto. Speriamo che non sarà bisogno, ma c'è una grande scrivania e uffici al secondo piano. A differenza di molte proprietà Monhegan, siamo più che felici di considerare gli animali domestici.

Appena passato il Trailing Yew su Lobster Cove Road, Magnolia House è a pochi minuti da Fish and Swim Beaches, gallerie e il resto del villaggio in una direzione e Lobster Cove nella direzione opposta.

Portare i bambini? Abbiamo una fantastica casetta di legno sulla proprietà (con un soppalco!) che i bambini amano, un sacco di giocattoli, puzzle, giochi e Lego, sedie a sdraio, libri per tutte le età e una camera da letto perfetta con letti a castello (e un rotelle estraibile) al secondo piano. Per gran parte dell'estate, ci sono deliziosi lamponi selvatici in fiore nel cortile, e alla fine dell'estate / inizio autunno si possono trovare more selvatiche. Questi non sono solo per i bambini, naturalmente ... la scorsa settimana abbiamo realizzato una serie di gelati di lamponi fatti in casa con bacche appena raccolte dal cortile, e ti incoraggiamo a fare lo stesso!

Family Stay

Birding week on Monhegan

We were on the island for a week birding and painting with the whole family. The house is in the perfect location with all amenities needed for a great vacation. We're excited to book next year.

Great location

The charming older home is perfectly situated on the island. It is spacious and accommodates a family easily. Our disappointment was a distinct mildew smell, especially in the side entry room where there is a TV/mud room. The house needs a deep clean and the basement has a damp and mildew smell- where the washing machine is located. The kitchen was stocked with cups, plates and had lots of pans.

Another wonderful week

Terrific house, comfortable, well equipped and cozy fireplace for chilly evenings (wood supplied). Accessible to local shops, eateries, and hiking trails. Enjoyed quiet evenings watching sunsets over Manana Island. We are returning in 2025-our 5th yr. staying in Magnolia House.

Beautiful House for the Whole Family

We traveled to Monhegan with our family (5 adults) for a four-day getaway to the island and were looking for a place that we could have our own space and a kitchen to cook in. We were super happy with the house, it was picturesque, with more than enough space for the five of us to all hang out together as have our own spaces when we needed it. The kitchen was lived in and had everything we needed and more to make family meals. It was very close to the brewery, as well as some of the trailheads to the east side of the island. It was the first time we'd been to the island in over twelve years, but knowing about the Magnolia house now, I'm sure it'll be sooner than that when we return!

Spectacular experience

The house was perfect for our family ( and dog) in location, size and accommodations. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with utensils, bake and cookware. We loved being able and eat together at the spacious dining table. There was plenty of space to do things as a group or with privacy. The upstairs master bedroom has its own private deck and views of the water. We enjoyed doing a puzzle and playing several of the dozens of games. Monhegan is a gem of an island. We brought most of our food and supplies but enjoyed lunch out at the brewery and baked goods from several shops. The hiking is amazing! Definitely hike the cliff trail. You’ll be in awe. Pebble beach and sea glass beach are favorites. Sunset at Lobster Cove (“ ship wreck beach”) is a must. We’ll definitely be going back!

Magnolia House

We have rented this house for several years now, timing our stay for peak warbler migration. It’s a great location and the island is beautiful! The manager is very helpful and the house is very comfortable.

Our Monhegan vacation

Another great vacation on Monhegan. Magnolia house is terrific. This was our 3rd year staying there and we are all looking forward to being back next year! Nick, the property manager, was very helpful if we needed anything.

Loved this home

The house on Monhegan was perfect for an extended family get together, with small children ranging from 6 months to 3. There are a wide range of toys appropriate for all ages, and a playhouse for the older children. The location is ideal and Elizabeth was responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend, and would certainly choose to stay here again in the future.

Perfect Family Getaway!

From first booking the property, Elizabeth was extremely prompt in answering all of our questions. The descriptions were all accurate and was the perfect spot for my husband and I, our 3 kids and my Dad and stepmom to stay on the island. It was close to town which was convenient, but it wasn't right in town which gave us more privacy. Nick the caretaker was great and checked in on us a couple of times throughout the week. There were so many games and puzzles that we always had something fun to do as a family. We had fun outside exploring, going swimming at the beach, or relaxing inside. The kid house outside on the property was magical for my kids. Highly recommend this location especially if you are bringing kids/family with you to the island. There was lots of room and tons to do! Will definitely be booking again!

Another great week staying at Magnolia House on Monhegan.

It's a comfortable, well-equipped house. We all enjoy sitting in the yard (especially Dexter, my daughter and son-in-law's dog). Very private and quiet but also near so many good places to eat and terrific shops. And on a cool evening, the fire place is a real treat.

Magnolia House

Wonderful house for our stay on Monhegan. Plenty of room for us to spread out and relax. The views from the upper deck were beautiful. The kitchen was very well stocked too. This was nice because we cook a a group dinner every night when we rent a house. We loved the bookshelves- full of a great selection of titles. Hope to be able to rent this house again.

The view - Spectacular!

My daughter and I spent 3 nights at this cottage. The cottage is huge and we used only some of the space - most of our time was outside. Well packed with books, eclectic art and games - lots of games.

Wonderful as usual!

Great visit! This is our 3rd year staying at Magnolia House and it's perfect for accommodating multiple couples. There was plenty of space to spread out and it is to get around the island from that as a home base.

A great house and the perfect location

We really enjoyed the week. The house was wonderful-close to the shops, restaurants but also very private. We often ate on the back deck and our dog loved lying there in the sun. The front yard was also private due to the wonderful flowers but we had a lovely view of the water. We would definitely stay there again.

Magnolia has it ALL!

I'll preface my review by noting that we have stayed at six other homes on Monhegan throughout the years. Each of them have unique charm and varying amenities. Magnolia House should be at the top of your list if you have a family or large group. The house is super clean. The kitchen is top notch and loaded with pots, pans, knives, silverware, spices, etc. The rest of the house is roomy so everyone has privacy when needed. The fireplace was awesome for chilly nights and there was plenty of wood. The back deck offers a great place to chill in the shade and cook out on the grill. The front deck offers stunning sunset views. Wifi that works on an island!! Elizabeth was a joy to deal with and answered questions promptly. She truly cares about making your stay as pleasant as possible. Nick and Lauren (house caretakers) are very kind and are ready to help with anything you may need during your stay. We won't hesitate to stay at Magnolia House again!

We stayed at the Magnolia House on Monhegan And it was pure magic!

Magnolia house has everything you need as a family to live comfortably on Monhegan. The Balcony and master bedroom are amazing because of the sunsets over Manana Island. The house is large and worked beautifully to house kids and grandparents giving everyone enough room to themselves or to come together. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cook for a large family There are enough games and toys you won’t need to bring your own! And the washer and dryer are a luxury that many renters don’t get when on the island, Magnolia House has it all! We will definitely be back!
