We loved loved Absolutely loved this property!!! We honestly wished we had booked more nights. The owner was extremely helpful and so welcoming! This place had everything And was just adorable. Highly highly recommend!!! We can’t wait to stay again. Very clean, had everything you could want, just perfect. So peaceful.

Beautiful Place

This is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. The marina next door has boat traffic in and out, but it didn’t bother us. There was music playing Friday evening, but you could only hear it outside on the deck. We enjoyed our stay and we would love to visit again.

Perfect For Us!

This boathouse was a surprise to me, we've been to Monroe many times to visit our kids and grands, but never knew about it. I was searching VRBO and came across the boathouse and am I glad I found it!! So clean, comfortable, amazing owner who was on top of all communications, we have a tritoon, 22 ft....had no idea if this lake and boat ramp could accommodate but he assured me it could. We docked right beside the boathouse under shelter.The bed was so comfortable. It was great waking up to a fantastic view. One evening we forgot to grab supper, got back to the boathouse and he had left us spaghetti and sauce!!!!! It was perfect. No complaints at all.

Amazing floating home

This is one of our favorite stays. The house and the location was perfect. Open space with tons of windows and extremely clean. Great kitchen space with everything you need, nice living area with comfortable couch, nice spacious bath with washer and dryer, comfortable bed and of course a beautiful view from the dock. Definitely recommend.

Great getaway!

We were looking for a place to relax and unwind, and this was the perfect spot. The host was in communication with me from the beginning with helpful hints and check in instructions. We will definitely be looking forward to our next trip.

Room with a view

Enjoyed our stay very much. Unfortunately it had rained a lot but our host made sure we could get in by putting a ramp up so we could access the property. Very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the porch while watching the rain, birds and the water. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely perfect!

The cabin was just perfect. Close enough to town but far enough away to enjoy the quiet. Capt Joe was very attentive to the walkway, as they had quite a bit of rain prior to our arrival and areas were flooded. Would highly recommend this property for anyone looking to be on water. to our atrival

Best of the lake, right here!

This is such a cute spot to have a nice getaway! Very nice property and owner. A little further down the road the owners don’t seem to take as much pride in their property but this one is a GEM!

Rest and recharge

Love ❤️ the water 💦, and this little floating cabin was just the thing to totally relax and enjoy peace and quiet. Just perfect for recharging your mind and body. The town of Monroe La. was really cute too!! Had great food ! Downtown had Christmas Lights. Overall a great getaway!!

We loved the privacy and peace and quiet of this beautiful place. The owner was wonderful and had the home stocked with almost everything you could want. Nice covered patio to sit on and set out lines for fishing (caught 2 catfish) i would highly recommend to anyone that needs a little getaway 😀

Heaven

Beautifully located and ideal for a break. The spot was immense on the lake. Fishing, kayaking all within seconds of waking up. At night all we could hear were the frogs and cicadas. Inside was spotlessly clean and everything pretty much you would need. No wifi but for us that meant we were forced to relax more. Satellite TV for the nighttime game was ideal and the comfiest couch and bed I’ve ever used. Capt Joe was there with a new chair when we discovered one was broken and responded straight away. A superb host who was great with his recommendations for places to eat etc. we will def be staying again if it’s available . Overall o can’t recommend enough.

We absolutely loved our stay!

My wife and I stayed in this cabin for four nights for our 25th wedding anniversary. Just as the VRBO title claims, this is truly an enchanting floating cabin that you will find to be just as the photos show. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. The host was very quick to respond to any communications. Thank you Captain Joe for your hospitality. My wife and I will definitely be back soon.

Relaxing weekend getaway

The floating apartment was beautifully decorated, fully furnished, and offered all the comforts of home. It was so nice to wake up and sit right on the water. A huge plus was being able to pull the boat right up to the door and leave it there instead of having to pull it out of the water after every use. Captain Joe was very accommodating with recommendations of restaurants, bait shops and any local attractions. I highly recommend this place and will be returning in the future.

Excellent Stay

The Slip Away was the weekend get-away that I did not know I needed. Every aspect of this cozy lake property was superb. It was the perfect place to unwind, do some fishing, and enjoy the scenery. I will definitely visit again!
