One of our favorite places we’ve stayed at. The home has everything you need and you can tell is put together with care, from the comfy furniture to the decor. The house is clean and comfortable with plenty of room for our family of five plus our dog. A previous review is correct, in that there are 250 steps to the beach. But there are landings for breaks about every 50 steps. My 4 yr old daughter, 80 yr old in laws, and geriatric dog were all able to climb back up, taking in plenty of breathtaking views at each break. The beach itself is soft sand with an easy water approach for young kids and we had it all to ourselves. One day only 3-4 groups of a couple people strolling and the next day not one other person in sight. The deck was perfect for morning coffee and evening sunset s’mores. Beds are comfortable, plenty of pillows and extra blankets. The house is well stocked with towels, amenities, even extras (just ask the host). The host was amazing and very responsive. He was able to help us fix an error in booking (my fault) and was so courteous and helpful. Overall a very relaxing and wonderful stay. We just wished we could have stayed longer.

This home was fantastic for our family to come and enjoy the tail end of summer. The house is clean, decorated really nicely, and has all the modern amenities you want for a vacation home. The set up with the sun room makes for a perfect place to curl up and read a book and enjoy a game of family Monopoly, which we found in the upstairs bedroom. The firepit area at the edge of the bluff overlooks the lake and makes for perfect sunset viewing. There was plenty of firewood for us to use as well. We cooked nearly all our meals but the local market is less than 5 miles away and they have basic groceries, pizza takeout, and ice cream, which was perfect. The beach is incredible and we enjoyed our time spent down there. We had the whole beach to ourselves in addition to the family of bald eagles we shared it with. There are a lot of stairs, which the owner was upfront about, but I’ll mention it’s over 250 just to help others define “a lot.” We were fine with it but definitely packed our beach bags for the day versus making quick trips back to the house. We love the area and the chance to recharge away from all the craziness of life! Owner was very responsive to all my questions and the treat basket upon arrival was a lovely and welcome surprise!

The house was very nice with a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan. Nice yard space too. The host was great and quickly responded to messages. Lots of steps but worth the effort to get down to a very private beach where we saw bald eagles on multiple occasions. It was a really nice place and very relaxing. Highly recommend it.
