“Very happy with Icon. Entrance and access were convenient and easy, location very good, with bus stops within a 2-3 minute walk, the Lido/Cassarate area only 12-15 minute walk, and downtown only a 20-minute or so walk. The building was modern, and accommodation was very nice. Murphy bed very comfy, good kitchen and a very good bathroom with a rain showerhead. Nothing but nice things to say...we really loved it! ”

“My husband and I stayed for a week with another couple and their dog. The apartment was clean and comfortable and the balconies had amazing views over the lake. You could not be closer to ferry docks and restaurants. It was quiet and relaxing. The little market at top of street had wonderful produce and shopkeepers were very helpful in ensuring we had excellent ingredients for our dinners. “Beautiful spot, but difficult to access without a rental car. We were travelling on foot/train/bus and we had to rely solely on the 2 or 3 taxis in the township. The walk was ok downhill, but very arduous going back (We're in our 70's). We chose Varenna as it much more affordable than Ballagio, and the views are simply breathtaking. We loved the location, in the middle of the old town, close to shops and restaurants, with meandering stairs/streets and lovely seafront. Especially loved the quiet mornings and evenings, and if streets were sometimes busy with tourists during the day, that was fine, we used that time to jump on a ferry to explore other villages for a few hours.
