Un tuffo nel passato
Hotel molto antico ma ben rimodernato. Ci è capitata una camera piccolissima, praticamente un sottotetto, però grazioso anche se un po' scomodo. Il bagno era funzionale. L'accoglienza un po' sui generis, niente di che (per stampare il boarding pass ci hanno mandato alla biblioteca locale). Posiziona buona per girare i dintorni.

A great little hotel. Nice and clean, friendly staff, big breakfast without breaking the bank.

Excellent service by all staff members, food and accommodation very good. The Hotel is in the heart of the town and a great location for walking and exploring the local area. Many thanks to all.

Very friendly staff who looked after our party so well. They were efficient and service was with a smile. A comfortable, enjoyable stay.

lovely, comfy overnight stay
we decided to break our 200 mile journey (to Derbyshire,) in half - which was approximately Montgomery. I chose the Dragon because I like old places with character. we were not disappointed! as we are 76 and 80, our only problem was the narrow , winding stairs !! However, when we stay next time, we'll request a ground floor room !

Friendly quirky hotel
Iconic quirky little hotel with lots of character. Room under the eaves, and remembered to duck so didn’t bump my head. View of Town Hall clock, and lovely hearing the bells each hour. Comfortable room. Friendly efficient staff. Great service in the Bistro. Delicious food. Easy safe parking at the back of the hotel. Lovely stay.

A very happy stay at the Dragon.
An amazing find. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Food was excellent. Lovely pool. Would highly recommend.

Très bel hôtel, la chambre mansardée a un charme fou. Petit bémol: prendre une douche dans une salle de bain très mansardée est très sportif. J’ai adoré l’endroit et le personnel était très bien.

Very old, quirky hotel in the centre of Montgomery. Rooms comfortable. Excellent food with breakfast being cooked to order. Very interesting area for walking. Would certainly recommend if staying in the area.

A great place for a quiet stay.
A lovely stay. Good food in the restaurant and breakfast was really nice too. I enjoyed having the pool to myself. We will be back.

As we were only staying for one night we booked a small room. The room was very clean, quiet and good value. We were made aware that the room was in the eaves, and as it's a very old building there are low beams and steep stairs. It's not ideal or those who struggle with stairs and low beams. The included breakfast and the evening meal we had there were well cooked and plentiful.

Great old property that was comfortable and served good meals. The only thing we didn't like was our room. It had a beam between the bedroom and bathroom. It is quite dangerous, only about shoulder high. We put towels over it too soften the head blow if not thinking! Other than that, a great place to stay.

Was greeted by a pleasant owner, rooms nice,clean and well stocked with utensils and toiletries, nice to see plates ,cutlery and bathing needs catered for.Close to Highland railway and a station tavern.

Not as good as the leaflet suggests. Dining room, Bistro , needs updating. Breakfast 1st day excellent, 2nd day small for a “full” Welsh. Evening meals good.
