“Very beautiful 100 year old house, with period furnishings. It is very clean and the hostess was nice and helpful. It is walking distance to the town of Barre which has several dining options and nice downtown. The breakfast was excellent, made with local produce and ingredients. It is a great location as a base to visit different places in Vermont.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Talta Lodge. The grounds were beautiful, and the river was a peaceful place to relax. The complimentary morning coffee was a great way to start each day. Our room was cleaned daily, and we really enjoyed spending time on the balcony, taking in the natural surroundings and listening to the birds. One small suggestion would be to replace or empty the outdoor garbage bins more frequently. They were full of dog waste bags, and the heat from the sun caused an unpleasant...

The two owners, Brandon and Susannah, are amazing and generous hosts, with homemade cookies (yum!), breakfast and many other amenities on site.
