Hotel vicino a Moray Coast Trail - Forres

“This is obviously a budget hotel now. The house itself was once a very grand house and it has a fascinating history for sure. The views are good and our room was basic and clean, as well as warm. The bed in our room (56) had not been put together properly though, so there was a metal ridge down the centre that was raised up too high and should have been placed lower. “Location was good. Check in process was easy. The beds were comfortable. I don’t prefer to degrade but I also want to be honest though. The room was falling apart. There is obvious water damage. Drywall was falling off walls and ceilings. Several old patches. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. The bed and bathroom were mostly clean, but the carpet was full of hair and probably hadn’t been cleaned in a while. “The lodge is beautiful in very peaceful area, it was very clean with everything we needed. We used it mainly for a base as we were traveling so only really slept there. The lodge is situated between 2 other properties and would benefit ( I’m my opinion) with blinds on all lower windows. The bed is very comfortable but a bit on the narrow side. “We reserved a room for three adults. Actually we discover that there were two rooms sharing a bathroom. So plenty of space. Really quiet. Nice breakfast and good restaurant / pub to have dinner. I would recommend to my best friend.”
