“I was visiting Forres for a work event and needed a hotel nearby. The Carlton was lovely. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming; check in was a breeze. The room was super clean and had all the amenities you needed. The bed was excellent and very comfy. Would thoroughly recommend this excellent hotel which is great value for money.”

“Wonderful hosts - Graham and Sheena are extremely focused on making everyone’s stay memorable. The beds are extremely comfy too! Beautifully kept carriage house in a central spot to visit many gems in the area. Was a very relaxing enjoyable stay! ”

“The lodge is beautiful in very peaceful area, it was very clean with everything we needed. We used it mainly for a base as we were traveling so only really slept there. The lodge is situated between 2 other properties and would benefit ( I’m my opinion) with blinds on all lower windows. The bed is very comfortable but a bit on the narrow side. “We were initially very tensed as we are going to Europe for first time. Communicated with the owners (Karen & George), they were very friendly and eased our anxiety. Karen met us after we checked-in and she was very friendly and helpful. My wife and daughter liked the glamping area very much, its safe. I highly recommend if you are planning for a trip to Loch Ness and need a small private atmosphere.”

“Al nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti con molta gentilezza e abbiamo potuto scegliere una camera di livello superiore allo stesso prezzo la camera era bellissima e anche il bagno ! “This was a last minute booking. I had no idea what I had booked. We were at dinner and Simon messaged us asking what time we were arriving, this was when I realized it was a guesthouse. “Beautiful hotel. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Perfect to visit Inverness, you reach it easily from Stirling/Edinburgh. The owner is really kind, she helped us a lot. There's an Italian restaurant there, I didn't try it but by looking at the menu, I'm sure it is amazing.”
