Cute little duplex near lots of amenities. Loved the fire pit and the extras that were supplied (toilet paper, body wash, shampoo/conditioner, hand soap, towels, coffee, etc etc). Only thing missing, which isn’t a criticism, was that there is no toaster which we missed having at breakfast time. It was comfy and we felt safe. We would definitely stay there again!

Clean, easy checkin. Plenty of parking for boat trailers. Quick drive to the lake, boat ramps, and bait shops.

close to both campus and the lakebeds were comfy, nice quiet night's sleepcould use a good cleaning thoughphotos show pond but that is someone else's propertyyou don't have whole house, it is a multi family home

We had an excellent stay! We loved Pop's BBQ & Elliott's Pizza which was about 1/2 mile away. The family loved our stay and there was plenty of room to spread out, plenty of outside space and a wonderful private gas fire table in the back which is fenced in. Coming back next year during graduation weekend. Thank you Host!

Weekend getaway

The duplex was very nice and beautiful. The river was just a short walk from the house. We did have a wonderful time. Negatives: No games upstairs as listed in listing. Whirlpool bath doesn't work as listed. No kitchen towels or dishcloths to wash dishes. No extra blankets or throw blankets in livingroom. Only one firepit outside so you must share with the other apartment in the duplex. It wouldn't take much to dig another firepit for

Great!! Exactly what we wanted

Felt like a vacation close to the lake right up the road from our family we had a great time . We are moving to Morhead next year otherwise we would stay again . Everything was wonderful our family enjoyed the last night with us with a cook out and volley ball we had a blast !! Thanks so much

Great location> super comfy home

We had a great time! 4 adults. Plenty of room to spread out or be together. Good size driveway for the boat. The neighbors dogs are totally adorable & just want to come hang out on the porch. The neighborhood duck is funny running around & hiding in the bushes. The private back patio is nice too. Other ppl have noted the “noisy neighbors” & atv’s. We saw the atv’s out front but no one was ever on them & when we did see the neighbors they were just doing typical things so Im not sure what’s up with those complaints in other reviews. We will 100% stay here again. The proximity to the lake seals the deal on that! Don’t miss out on booking this location.

Cave Run Lake

We spent 3 days on the lake. Property was very nice. Location was great. We brought our boat and had plenty of parking. Inside was spacious and clean. Will definitely be back.

Relaxing getaway

My family and I enjoyed staying at the house. Although we did read the reviews before we stayed about the noisy neighbors and the dogs well yes the people to the left were noisy with loud music for 2 days straight but we just ignored them thankfully they were playing the kind of music that I liked but I wish I would have got to hear the crickets and the birds more and we had our dog with us she really enjoyed herself she had to run of the whole property even though the neighbors have chickens and ducks she was well behaved and the two dogs that they talk about they're very friendly and they're only come over if you have a dog but the lady seems to keep track of them and keeps them at home overall I really enjoyed staying at this property it felt like home for a few days to me and my family I would recommend that they supply more garbage bags possibly some q-tips Little things matter. And the one thing that didn't look as advertised was the river is not right outside of the property you have to cross over to the other property that the owners are buying in order to get to the water which is fine but I had to call and make sure we were okay to go there so that was a little false advertising to me was seeing the water right beside the house but then it wasn't when I got there that would probably be the only downfall that I had to say but other than that we spent three nights and four days there and I will definitely be coming back so thank you very much Tina!

First musky trip

I was planning my first ever Muskie trip to Cave run lake and came across this listing. The owners of the property have kept up the house beautifully. This more than suit our needs and made us very welcome. The check in process was amazingly simple and the owners responded to us quickly and made it great. The location for us was perfect. It was close enough to what we needed and very close to the lake. It was an amazing time and would not hesitate to recommend this property to any of my friends wanting to plan a trip any boat fun at the lake.

Cozy

House was nice and cozy. We didn’t realize this is actually a two unit house. The pictures don’t show that this house is close to other residences and if you are looking for quite and relaxing during the day this might not be the right place for you. Neighbors ride up and down the road in front of the house on four wheelers most of the day and play loud music. There were also dogs running loose and barking. They did stop around 10 pm or so. Other than the neighbors we had a pleasant stay. We would stay here again if we are in the area. There is also an excellent bbq place right down the street with good milkshakes.

Not on a river or lake.

We were really excited to be near water. The river is on a neighbor’s property, who has two large dogs that chased my dogs. The house is nice though, and the owner as really sweet.

The price is right

This rental is well equipped and cared for. Cleanliness: PROs - spotless and perfectly ready for our arrival; CONs - use of heavily scented cleaning products & detergents - this is just a personal sensitivity. Space & amenities: PROs - 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms so we could SPREAD out; Roku TVs in every room - what a treat; wi-fi was excellent though we didn't try to use it for work or school; outdoor space - the small private back patio was perfect for grilling burgers and playing games though the gas fire pit didn't work (and I forgot to tell the host); the beds were comfortable and we tend to struggle with this; spacious eat-in kitchen with everything we needed to prep meals, comfy couches; CONs - we could hear the neighbor (talking/walking) in the other half of the duplex; lots of stairs we had to keep our toddler from accessing (should have brought our baby gate). Location: PROs - easy to find, big yard to play in; close to hiking; about 10 minutes to stores and restaurants; CONs - not entirely private as neighbors are nearby and it is rural so its understandable that there are pests but the host's effort to combat critters in the house was evident.
