I agree with previous comments that the decor is a little dated but for me this added to the charm as reminded me of my aunty’s house and so created some nostalgia during our stay. Decor aside, the property was comfy and clean and was well appointed with all the mod cons you need so for me, nothing to dislike.”

“Very nice property, was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. John's communication was excellent. Just could of done with a small bin in each bedroom and there was only 1 dishwasher tablet but these are only minor things but holiday and house was very adequate for our stay at Newbiggin on the sea. We even spotted dolphins from the bedroom window. Parking was ok on the road outside. 5 stars given. Kevin and family”

“Fantastic little cottage in Amble. Feels very homely and welcoming. Fantastic location. The welcome gifts were a nice little touch. The only draw back is parking. On busier days it wasn't always possible to park directly by the house but it wasn't a major issue.”

“The property is located in a former mining village within very easy reach of the coast and nature reserves. Amble harbour and town is a10 mins drive passing a Morrisons supermarket on the way. This property is an excellent base for discovering coast and countryside.”

“Fabulous cottage in a quiet setting. Airy and light & welcoming. Nice big dining kitchen with (more than!) everything we needed. View from sitting room over the hills was lovely. A great position to trek out from - so near to Cragside National Trust, which is a must! We also visited Wallington & Gibside NT & Holy Island. Thankyou for entrusting us with your home from home - we will definitely be back to explore more of this beautiful area.”
