We loved our stay at Pleasant Inn! The location is the best- just a couple blocks from the water, with a terrific view of Morro rock and an easy stroll to downtown for breakfast. Our room was small but cute and clean, and the front desk was very friendly and responsive (helping us arrange to have a key left for us when we arrived late.) Would definitely stay again!

Great price for a suite near the water in Morro Bay. It is not a high quality, 5 star hotel, it is definitely an Inn, but I was grateful for the suite amenities with a family visit! Staff were thorough and helped us get access to the room as soon as possible! Good stay with a great view!

We ultimately chose this place for their pet friendly cleaning fee, just $25 for one night. With our two dogs, most other hotels end up costing an extra $100 per night.

Older property but very well maintained and clean. Stayed here in the past and I absolutely love staying here. The owners are very nice people and go above and beyond for their guests. Comfy bed, mini fridge, microwave, small coffee maker, walkable to everything and always at a very reasonable price! No complaints!

This was an older hotel a little off the main thoroughfare which made it quiet. The room was quiet and comfortable with the typical amenities.

The manager called me to tell me the office was closing but they had prepared a key in the lockbox. Check-in was a breeze and I parked right in front of my room. Manager DID show up to check in on me, which was very nice.

Well, the price was great. The coffee was delicious. The bed was comfortable. Internet was good. The cable TV was good. We watched a couple of good movies. They have a refrigerator for our drinks. A microwave for snacks popcorn. Everything was good. The gal in the office was very nice. I asked her for extra towels and extra coffee.

Overall, we had a nice time here. We stayed in the "luxury suite" which was a great size, but we thought naming it a 'luxury suite' was a bit off the mark. Although it had a full lovely kitchen, it did not have wine glasses, a cutting board, or any basic kitchen staples like salt/pepper... also it has a super tiny coffee maker not suitable for 3 people. In hindsight, an AirBnB may have been a more user-friendly choice. Thankfully, we know someone in the area that was able to provide things to actually make use of the full kitchen. Also, the bathroom is not 'luxury', although I appreciated that there was a bathtub. The lighting is not luxury: mismatched florescent bulbs, nothing dimmable and some lights that were out. Finally, there is thick dark carpet, so I'm not sure how 'clean' it really was... I personally find all carpet a bit icky, but I'm sure it helps soundproof the units underneath. My only real issues was billing the unit as a "Luxury Suite" when it is more just a cute one-bedroom unit.

My husband, dog and I really enjoyed our stay at the Pleasant Inn. It was a low-key, relaxing place very close to anything you might need. We enjoyed our daily walks by the harbor and got to try cute local places

Comfortable, roomy space good for a family
The room was clean and spacious. We liked having a kitchen available with a stove, oven, and full sized refrigerator. One thing to keep in mind if you stay in the luxury suite is the stairs. They are very steep and small. I slipped down them on my way to check if the door was locked and hurt my back and shoulder. Overall, we had a good stay, but do not know if we would stay again due to the stairs.

Cozy, clean, and cute. Love the set-up (not over-done with too many furnishings), kitchenette, ocean breezes, front and back doors, so many conveniences. Excellent hosts. Heads-up (not a complaint!): Shower gel/shampoo provided are wonderful and dispense with some effort. So if you like your own shampoo, conditioner, shower gel... bring it along! We'll come back to this 5* retreat.

My room was small but suitable for one. The bathroom is very tiny but functional. The location is great. There's only 10 rooms so it's only one story and small. My complaint is very very minor. The black cord to the cable TV annoyed my ADD a white one clipped to the top of the bathroom door would go unnoticeable. Behind the door could use a little extra cleaning. Of course I said I'm being very picky. The room was great the bed was comfy and the location was great. I basically have No complaints. Would not only stay there again, I would definitely recommended to friends!!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Our motel has a 1950s unique design. We are a rare gem in Morro Bay. Majority of our guests like the nostalgia feeling they get when coming to our place. We advertise our Partial view rooms with Kitchenettes as stated. They are small kitchenettes, not full kitchens. Majority of our guests find the rooms more then satisfactory for their daily needs. We get a lot of return guest who specifically wants only those rooms. The room might feel cramped and smaller when a dog over 60 pounds is brought as you did. Our Maximum recommendation for a dog is 60 per room for that specific reason. If you want a more modern hotel, there are plenty around Morro Bay. Our prices reflect the location and the amenities that are provided. We have a luxury suite that meets the modern criteria, only that it is not pet friendly. We are sorry we did not meet your expectation. The bathroom was extremely tight, small corner sink, a small low toilet, small shower. There is no way two people could be in that room at the same time. The kitchenette was quaint; the toaster was well-used and not emptied of crumbs. The bed was okay. DO NOT stay here if there is a heat advisory; no A/C, no ceiling fan, small stand fan is all we had. This motel is cut into the hillside so no breeze through the open windows either.

This was our 3rd stay at Pleasant Inn. We like it here! We enjoy the outside table for pre-dinner cocktails with ocean view and we love having the kitchenette in the room. Fair sized room - clean and comfortable. All the necessities. My only down-side is that the shower is minuscule. We expect it and deal with it because I don't think there could ever be a change there. Otherwise, great place. Great location, with small view of the ocean. Convenient to the embarcadero and delicious restaurants. We'll be back (again!).

We were traveling with our 3 month old daughter and small dog. Got in late and our self check in was waiting for us. Accommodations were quaint, clean, friendly staff, well decorated and felt very safe. Had a great night’s sleep on very comfortable beds with nice linens. Jessica at the front desk was very helpful and kind. We would stay here again if in the area.
