“We had a nice time in Takaka and exploring the area. Comfy beds and a good size place for a family holiday. The house and surrounding gardens needed a bit of TLC. It wasn't as clean as we would have hoped. Just needs a bit of a spruce - cobwebs definitely need to be swept away! Probably wouldn't choose to stay here again unfortunately.”

“The view from this house is terrific--high on a hill looking over other hills and down to the sea. And you have the hills view from the hot tub as well. The house is quite spacious and we found it to be quite well equipped as well. It could use a bit of TLC in some places (e.g., exterior furniture, BBQ, weather-etched doors in master bedroom), but not serious, Re the road to it, yes, it is narrow and rather precipitous, but negotiable (and if you check it out on Google, you'll find an alternate...

Thankfully a washing machine and somewhere to dry clothes after several days on the road.It also an easy stroll to the main Richmond shops with some great cafes, restaurants and other shops.
